Your best solution wont work because it is an 88 they can only scan '96 and newer when OBD II came out so know what you are talking about before you post
those cars are known for fuelinjection probs. your best bet is to first get your self a fuel pressure regulator and Gauge to determin how much fuel you are pushung and get it tuned up by some one who knows what they are doing because tuning will make or break a turbo car

Do you know if you are pumping in the correct amount of gas. Is the pump going bad and pumping to much. Also check your throtlebody. If you take the vehicle down to a auto part store and have them run it on there computer (for free) they can tell you if any of the sensors are going bad or if some of the basic things have goine wrong.

My 1996 Toyota Corolla Conquest 1300 won't start but swings (OP means CRANKS) I checked carburetor put some fuel to see if it takes but nothing was wrong with carb.

i tried to decode this
"and doesn't start it's not the fuel because I checked and even put in carb it should take when swinging (cranking)
"
I guess he meant sprayed test fuel to carb air horn, fails?
the cam belt is bad,(slipped) and fully expected.
and your adding fuel test is ON THE MARK, proves
engine or spark dead.(mostly)

I have a 1987 chrysler conquest tsi and fuel pump only runs when key is on start not on run but pump fuel lines not hook only power wires to pump is this how it works?

What does it do with the lines hooked up ? Most fuel injected vehicles need an RPM signal to let the computer know the engine is running to let power continue to the pump .

88 dodge conquest tsi no start has spark and has fuel coming out of the injectors

,Use caburator cleaner and spray down the throttle body and put the air duct back on if this start up and then dies your fuel pump is the issue, If you dont have spark and want to test for spark take the lead spark wire from the ignition coil let it hang 1/4 from body ground and have some one crank it if you dont have spark replace the sensor in the distributor.(optic sensor its hall effect). if you have spark and fuel. note the postion of the distributor and move it foward. if it wants to start and cant check for a slipped timing belt,by the way Plymoth made the conquest TSI

Have a 88 conquest TSI. Car idles rough when started, and roughness is noticable up to 2500 rpms when trying to maintain a certain speed. If accelerating, it's not noticable, and if the rpms are above...

i am having the same problem i think its due to ground problem or iac vaulve, look to see if the ground to the engine is right and see if the iac vaulve is good, also ur map sensor might have to much volt, and ur tps as well. good look friend God bless.

I have a 1989 chrysler conquest and dont seem to have a strong vacuum comming from the carbeurator?

Suggest lots of possibilities...I assume it is NOT a TSi... so no Turbo.
If all vacuum lines are attached and in good shape, then you can have a back pressure issue, preventing the flow of burnt gas out of the engine, and therefore a low vacuum.
If you find that the Cat. converter is clogged (strong possibility...) the you can buy one...

Chrysler conquest turbo charged

I'd almost forgot about that car!!! It was a great little sports coupe that had it's platform based on the Mitsubishi Starion/.Gallant chassis and as far as I know all had 2.6 turbo inter-cooled engines. It was the precursor to the Eclipse which was more of a joint venture with Chrysler.
