Whats involved in fitting genuine ford rear seats to my connect panel van?
The factory manufactures the floor section with cutouts which wells are welded into the floor for the seats to attach to. They are not sold separately by the dealer or in fact by any American auto/truck dealer in this country. The laws incorperated by our government with the District of Transportation involve causes this hinderment for us owners of vans ban us to install seats in vans made without seats from the factory. To obtain the correct part for seat provision the entire floor section must be purchased which is out of the question. The price would be very high and the floor panel is made only during the model of production then discontinued. The best bet is to find a van in a junk yard hit broadside to cut the section of the seat wells needed in your case.

aerostar and early 95 windstar as well as 99 & up dont fit but can be modified to fit. your best bet is go to a junk yard because the rear seats are a dime a dozen. all the upper parts are the same but the lower steel parts are slightly different

Pop the Hatchback open and remove the connectors
from the top of the bumper cover.
Optional Step: Using a Floor Jack, raise both sides
of the car in the back, supporting both sides with
jack stands, and remove the rear wheels.
Using Torx Bits, remove the inner rear wheel well
lining.
Get behind the rear wheel well and loosen the bolts
holding the bumper brackets on. They're pretty
difficult to find and remove. Be Patient. Do the
same to the other side.
Remove the rear bumper cover by pulling the cover
outward from the part nearest the wheel on both
sides. Once removed, take off the 2 black mounting
brackets from the bumper cover.
