The last night that my car was running it was full power with no problems. I went to Smith's to shop for food and when i wanted to go home my car would not start up right away as usual. I had to turn the key a few times and my car kept turning over as if i was out of gas but i had plenty of gas. After a few times of turning the key the car started up. I drove to the next place i had to stop at for about 10 miles and had no problems with my car while driving. So, I turned my car off and went on to handle my business and returned to my car to go home about 30 minutes later. When I attempted to start up my car and go home I had the exact same problem as before, basically, I had to turn the car over 3 or 4 times until it would start. The next morning I Had to do the same thing as the previous two times to get the car to start. As my car was sitting and idling so it could warm up it just died off after about two minutes of idling. That was the last time I was able to get the car to start up. My car has been sitting in my garage for about a month now and the battery is completely dead now, my car will not turn over at all now. My best guess is the alternator maybe bad? I really do not know if I'm guessing correctly or not. Please offer me any advice you may have and I really appreciate you reading this story about my car trouble and your advice. Thanks!
The fact that you were able to repeatedly restart the engine after it shut down indicates that the battery was not totally dead and therefore the alternator is most likely to be OK. First thing I would do is take take it to have the diagnostic trouble codes read (Autozone used to do this sort of thing for free)

To save you all the hassle check your spark plugs & distributor first if you are getting a spark. To do that first take out the number one spark plug wire it will be the one closest to the distributor. Second take out the spark plug, then put the spark plug in the spark plug wire. Turn on the engine u should see a spark at the spark plug if your distributor is ok and spark plug. If not replace your distributor.

the problem is your sensor is bad . the sensor for for the fuel pump is not sending power.

your camshaft position sensor may be going bad. usually with an old car it tend to go bad. The top of sensor can be covered or gumed up with grease, oil, dirt and cause it not to detect the flywheel turning. Camshaft sensor send single to your DME to deliver fuel and sparks to you engine. If camshaft sensor goes bad it will seem like your fuel pump and ignition coil is bad even-though they are good. Faulty camshaft sensor may caused you to have this issue and problems such as sometime it run good and all of sudden it shut off, sometime its start good and others time is doesn't start. Once the sensor goes bad, the car will not run. There are two Sensor one for the fuel and one for the sparks, I would replace both sensor because soon or later if it will go bad, it will leave you stranded although if you replace one you might as well replace the other. Check the coil and test using the light or volts tester to see you getting power to the coil, next check if your fuel pump is working, fuel pump will not stay running unless the sensor sense the flywheel is turning from your camshaft sensor. next time when your car does not start, check if you getting spark and fuel. Both sensor will cost you around 130 bucks. assuming your DME, fuel pump, coil, wires, etc... is working. keep me update and I will try to walk you through. btw stop by at any auto part store and pick yourself up Haynes auto repair book for your car, its a great tools and investment to have for your next repair work if you plan to keep your car and get to know the heart of it. good luck and i hope that help some.

Sounds like a fuel problem , have you changed the fuel filter in a while ? could be the knock sensor or the knock sensor module needs to be replaced.

Sounds like you have a small bit of dirt or grit in the fuel system when accelerating it is drawn with enough force to cut off the fuel supply then is released when engine at Idle.
1 run liquid fuel line/injector cleaner in 1 tank
2 check fuel lines for debris
3 change fuel filters
4 have fuel tank flushed
here is trouble shooting order less expense to greater.
