Not starting could be a very wide area. A vehicle needs 2 things to start. Fuel and spark. You need to narrow down what is missing before I think I could help. Find out if you are getting fuel or getting spark to the spark plugs. Once you narrow down what's missing I can help better. You can reply here or email me directly at [email protected] with all your information.

Guessing that means you are not getting any spark nut you are getting fuel. It could be a few things. O would start by checking fuse number 21 in the fuse box under the hood of the vehicle. I have pictures but am unable to post a picture on here (fixya.com) for some odd reason. If fuse is good check the dark green & orange wire at the coil to make sure you have power there. The coil itself could be bad. There are 2 different type of coils (Diamond or Toyodenso) would need to know which one you had to be able to test it. It could be the camshaft position sensor located in the distributer but doubt that. Think you would still get some spark. Email me if you need any picyures.

My 1999 jeep cherokee sport TD doesn't start in cold weather. battery seems fine, engine turns but doesn't fire. fuel filter? pump? At first pressing the button on the filter/pump a few times worked, but...

fit non return valves in both the feed and return pipes to hold the diesel pressure up ,then check and renew the glow plugs as necessary ,also fit a manula overide onto the heater circuit with a push button type switch inside the cab so heaters can be held on whilst cranking the engine this will cure it for sure

99 jeep cherokee with 4.0 straight six takes extra long to start

The request doesn't say what the problem is...takes extra time to start?

Sounds like fuel-related - injectors/fuel pump/fuel filter? Is there a strong fuel smell or black exhaust for a few seconds/minutes after starting it when it's sat overnight? If so, then you've got a leak causing excessive fuel...kind like 'flooding' the engine on old cars w/Carbs.

It could also be the temp. sensor. If it thinks the car is 'warm' it won't give the car enought fuel to start when cold.

Where can I buy an owners manual for a 1999 Jeep Cherokee 2.5 TD Sport (UK) ?

I would first check with a local salvage yard as they may give it to you for free. That being said, a google search may be in order. Good luck.

1995 jeep cherokee coolant line broke we fixed it

Take it back to the shop that fixed it or if you did it yourself, check that you didn't disconnect a sensor/plug from the transmission.
