06 sharan sprayed and cleaned egr whilst still on engine not much carburn checked pipes clear but thecar permites black smoke turbo kicks in when required but engine sounds as if the timing is out can you help does it need a new egr or turbo

check the air flow meter as well the two are linked,if you fit a new egr it will need to be programmed to your car,..when the egr is working you should get a drop in airflow,if you dont then the egr is stuck open...when it closes your airflow should go back up..

you need a haynes manual.because some new cars dont have dip stick to check tranny fluid.you have to locate a check fill plug on automatic transmission differential.its located on the right side.front of drive axle.for volkswagon you got buy the tool to squirt fluid in tranny.still get a manual it will show you place to put tranny oil.

your getting close to a change, especially if its a belt and not a chain. i know friends that had there belts changed out anywhere from 60k to 90k. Chains can go about twice as long as a belt. i you kept this car up on it servicing and dont abuse it. i"d say it"ll last till at least 70k.
