You will be fine replacing the batt. The only code that you will need is for the radio if it is stock. You do not need to worry about the computer it will be fine. You can get the code here at this site though.

There was a recall for this issue. The problem is the circuit board would go bad right where the wire harness clips on to the boards causing a short. Best thing to do is go to the dealer and see if the recall is still covers your wiper logic board, but in the mean time. Pull the fuse to your wipers so there not on all the time. If it's not covered and your good with a solder gun, you can re-solder the clip back on the board or replace the logic board. You can pick it up at Auto Zone or any large auto parts store. Good luck and i believe it's still covered but the recall.

I do not mean to be hurtful and it will take some time to do. Maybe all day if you have no experience. If you need instructions just maybe you should have some do it for you.

it would be cheaper, if you lost your key ,to take your vin to cadillac dealer and proof you own it to have them make a key.if you change the cylinder lock youll have to reprogram the antitheft system and possibly breaking the sensor changing the lock and that get pretty pricey. you can get a key made cheap ready to go.cadillacs antithefts are very touchy systems.
