Oil gettin to sparkplugs

  • Anonymous Mar 30, 2012

would air flow make this happen

  • Anonymous Mar 30, 2012

Air has nothing to do with it. Air mixes itself with gas to make a fuel spray which ignites with help of ignition provided by spark plugs. Oil always stays below the Piston rings and air does not come in direct contact with oil at all.

Car run though about quarter of oil every 700 miles it's not burning the oil the engine is claen

the engine is not burning oil, how do you know this? Check drain plug, how about oil spots on drive way. Pull a sparkplug, see if it is fouled.

2000 VW new Beetle uses a lot of oil, but has no leaks, oil fouls sparkplugs

Do you have the turbo model? If so you could have a bad turbo. You may also have bad valve seals or piston rings. If you have a turbo you can remove the hose or pipe off of the outlet side of your turbo between the turbo and the intake manifold. If there is oil in it your turbo is leaking and will need repaired.

Cant get it to pass smog. i replaced the cat but still no go. How much is it to fix a fuel injection problem?

Try replacing the sparkplugs and running some injector cleaner through it." Smog " is basically a test to ensure your car is clean burning , A nice strong spark gives a cleaner burn reducing emissions.
If your car is burning oil , the additional oil in the emissions can cause a fail and Hondas are a bit prone to burning oil.

Oil in the turbo, smoking bad!

check to make sure the turbo oil return pipe is not clogged. if it is pressure will build up causing oil leak through seal causing it to smoke.

White smoke from right side of motor

Check your oil, does it look like chocolate milk, if so you have blown a head gasket. Or you could just have a bad valve cover gasket, this allows oil to drain down onto the exhaust where it burns and as a result, white smoke. If you get enough of it, when you pull your plugs it will coat them in oil.
