This sounds like a transmission issue. Assuming it's an automatic transmission, check for lack of fluid that is causing the slipping. Also, if the fluid level is good but is a dark brown and gives a burned smell, it needs to be changed. Before changing the fluid and filter, bring the car to a transmission shop to ensure you aren't throwing good money after bad by changing the fluid in a bad transmission.

SOURCE: 95 maxima hard to start

Remove the high tension cable to the distributor from the ignition unit. Conduct a spark test. If there's no spark, try to replace the ignition coil or the igniter.

Nissan maxima 2000 replace solenoid/page-2

If the transaxle is all factory original & it does not
up shift as well as has a code & no OD,then you
may as well put it out & rebuild it.

Close to 14 years is great for any transmission.

In the future you change your trans & power steering
fluids every 3 years & at first sign of any trans issue
you stop driving it immediately, drive no more than
5 miles to get home or to a shop or you have what you
have , a $3,000.00 bill coming up to pay

The radio won't turn on in my 2000 nissan maxima.

could be as simplet as blown fuse for radio. i would start there. look at your "audio" fuse in the fuse box. if thats ok, then you have something elses goin on, but start with fuse check.

95 Nissan Maxima with fuel injection issue.

Could be battery, starter or coolant sensor.

It is hard to understand / get across engine noises with words so difficult to diagnose over the net but try to push start the car and let me know if it starts ok with a push. Also, maybe try a jump start, preferably using a circuit protector if you have one.
Let me know results of the above.
