Engine sputtering now it wont start

I Have a 2001 GMC seirra 4x4. It is a good truck and has been realiable for me. Just this morning I started my truck and drove to work about 5 blocks. About and hour later i went to go home. I started my truck and put it in reverse as i started to back up my truck started to sputter and lurch then it just died. I started the truck up again and it started just fine. I put the truck in drive and when i put my foot on the gas it started to sputter lurch and then died. I thought I might have water in the gas so I went and bought a bottle of antifreeze gas whatever it is(heat). clears up the water. I didnt have a full tank about 1/4 and waited about 2 hours. Now the truck wont start at all but it turns over. Please help me.

My 2001 GMC Sierra just made a 600 mile trip. The next morning, the truck wouldn't start (full tank of gas). Replaced the fuel filter, banged on the gas tank. Tried to start the engine again, engine...

When your replaced the pump did you replace the fuel filter? You may have a fuel pump relay causing you some grief. I believe it is located in the engine compartment in the fuse center on the left inner fender. Check the relay and any related fuses. Check the electrical connection at the pump. They had problems with some of them and they would get kind of hot and distort and corrode. They have new updated ones that can be easily installed.

1994 gmc seirra k1500 4.3 engine 4x4 hesitation when I accelerate.

check vacuum lines, near air canisters and air filters etc, usually rubber hoses, may be cracked ,split, dry rot enough to let air in. may as well start there.

1996 gmc k1500 4x4 5.7 vortec motor no start keep

Replace the coolant sensor on the front of the intake manifold. The coolant sensors on this engine does go bad and wont set a check engine light. The sensor will read about -32 to 0 degrees when they do go bad. The computer thinks it is that cold and sends tons of fuel to the engine. If you try to start the engine with the throttle depressed to the floor it puts the fuel system in clear flood mode and wont fire the injectors. Engine will start then and run very rich. The coolant sensor has two wires on it and sometimes you need to replace the wiring pigtail going to it as the sensor can seep coolant into the connector and corrode the terminals. All the parts are available at pepboys and autozone or napa. Good luck

The heater in my 2001 Sierra Z71 takes a long time to warm up. MOstly does not heat up at all. How do I trouble shoot this?

THE 1ST THING U DO IS GO UNDER THE HOOD WHEN ENGINE IS HOT, CHECK THAT BOTH HEATER HOSES (INLET AND OUTLET) ARE GETTING HOT, IF ONLY ONE IS HOT FLUSH THE CORE, IF BOTH ARE JUST WARM THEN THE THERMOSTAT IS DEFECTIVE IN THE ENGINE, REPLACE IT, LET ME KLNOW WHAT YOU FIND.

1993 Gmc Seirra Power Steering

You will have to remove the serpintine belt off take off the Hoses from the steering box be carefull not to strip them out, use some WD-40 or something the make it easier if they wont come off take your time and work them back and forth, If your just doing the pump then take the hoses off the pump not the steering box, take the retaining bold out of the steering pump and it should come right off.
