If its an auto trans ,a trailer! A standard, you will need to buy the propper harness. This would enclude wiring the lights in too! Frankster016

Can it be flat towed

You do not state if it an automatic. If it is, only tow the vehicle a short distance, 20 miles, slowly when in 'neutral'. The main enemy is overheating the transmission fluid by having the wheels drive the gear box impeller causing it to churn the fluid generating heat. If you can feel the transmission casing getting hot stop the tow and leave it to cool before starting again Manuals should be fine towed in neutral

I plan on towing a trailer 2500 ish lbs. Fully loaded behind my 2002 Hyundai Sante Fe with the V6 engine. My ex says I need to get a transmission cooler installed. Do I?

Well, you don't have to have a transmission cooler installed if you go a short distance.

But, it would help if there is none from the factory and you go a long distance on hilly terrain.

My 1980 Suburban had a cooler built in for towing things.

Hope this helps you.

I just bought my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. I looked for an owners manual and you know it did not have one My question is the car and all wheel drive or is it does it have a switch somewhere that I have not...

The Santa Fe AWD (All Wheel Drive) is just that. There are no switches, no levers, it is in All Wheel Drive constantly. It is not really classed as a 4/wheel drive as in "all terrain", it is a road vehicle with the ability to handle various road condtions (mine travels through snow pretty darned good) but it is not an off road thing.

Fitting a Tow Bar

just put your tow bar up to the frame, it already has threaded holes in the frame to fit the bolts that came with your tow bar to it. It's really easy. everything should line up perfect
