SOURCE: Hi, I have a 2001 nissan

hi. was just looking at your problem of (sentra) overheating and actually, i am a mechanic for nissan and have changed many head gaskets for this particular vehicle equipped with 1.8 liter motor and found that they are notorious for this problem of faulty head gasket's.Unless you did't properly bleed the system, which i doubt because you seem mechanically inclined since you already changed every other part of the system,i would't doubt that this is the problem.Anyway, by the time you read this, you have probably already found this out..Just thought i would let you know this info.Good luck!...by the way,if you haven't already changed you cam and crank sensors,do that too, before you get stuck and get the part's at the dealer!!!!-they are redesigned from the old one's!!just some advise to try to help you out!!! John from N.Y.

Nissan Note is mixing oil and water.

Was the oil drained after the overheating occurred? You may have contamination from just before overheating. Did you find the root cause for it? Low coolant / no coolant, stuck thermostat, failed water pump, etc.

Or

The cylinder head job was done badly, did they use a new gasket, did they torque the nuts correctly?

Or

The cylinder head is fine, but the block is cracked.

Some Nissans have a bleeder port to remove air from the system. I'm not sure where they are on your car. Sorry I can't give you the location. Am willing to check if you need me to.

98 Nissan Altima 2.4 overheating changed thermostat and radiator and hoses and water pump and heater hose and the car still says it's overheating I do not have water in the oil all ready checked.

Check the cooling fans, you may need to by a non contact thermo temp gun to verify that the car is really over heating. the are available to harbor freight.

My almera tino has suddenly started to over heat even thou the water and oil levels are fine would this be a problem with the thermostat ?

doubt it --- for sudden problems check items like fan operation if electric, viscous fan hub if fitted, blocked radiator fins / corroded fins, failed cat converter blocking exhaust.
run the fault codes to check for any sensor failure.

Resetting after installing a radiator on nissan almera

Not sure on the Almera, but some vehicles need the light to be re-set with a scanner, it has stored the radiator fault in it's memory, trip to a garage I'm afraid.

Overheating

i remember trying this. if your water pump is faulty. while the engine is off, spin the radiator blade. if it spins, then your pump is out, if it stops immediately, (it has a cluth of sorts) it's ok. also use a lower degree thermostat, like 160 degrees, then it will open sooner.

Heater blowing cold air

My 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8s with 55,000 mi. blows cold air from the heater. Coolant not circulating in engine. Lower hose stays cool to touch. Both heater hoses cold. Changed thermostat - didn't fix it. Coolant not leaking or dirty. None in oil - no oil in radiator. Changed worn water pump belt - pump spins freely with no noise or resistance. Cooling fans come on after warm-up. Temperature gauge stays in normal range then jumps to hot and back again. Coolant good to 10 below - didn't freeze here yet. No other problems or repairs to car. Afraid to drive and make worse. Help!

2003 Nissan Sentra Problem overheating and heater doesn't work.

does the car overheat at idle or travelling down the road? if the thermostat was not changed, thats first step. checking it is replacing it. possibly air-bound. then i would suspect a headgasket problem.
