If the other functions work, like tilt, etc. There may be someting jammed in one of the tracks, like money, a penny will do this. Also, these seats have cable problems from the motor to the seat transmissions. The seat will prob need removed, shop usually charges 3 hrs labor to repair.

Check the two fuse boxes (use your smartphone camera and flash) for anything burned out . Note: There are two fuse boxes, one inside, under the dash and another by the engine.
Owners manual will help you locate the seat power fuse.
Shoot lots of penatrateing oil on rails Like liqued wrench or blaster let soak over night apply more in morning than work on moveing seat. if they are electric check fuse , check for power at motor if power exists replace motor if seat is manuel and you still cant move it unbolt seat and replace from local junk (recycleing)yard.
The fuses for the seat are shared with other features on the car such as power antenna. Has any other power feature gone off as well?
Check the runners the seat slides in. There might be something trapped in there blocking the running action.
There are two fuse boxes. One under the hood in the rear drivers side corner, under a black plastic cover. The other is inside the car, inside the end panel of the dash. (With the door open).
Check fuses 1 and 18 as they cover the power seat functions. https://autobonches.com/amp/fuse-box/2003-ford-explorer-fuse-box-diagram/
check fuse.if fuse is good check for power at seat motor.if yes replace seat motor.if no check wires at switch.if wires is not loose or broken seat motor switch could be bad.
uys what I found on mine was under the fuse box panel, Ford
did a factory splice.Orange w green stripe wire or vice versa been a
while, that splice turned green and coroded inside. All i had to do was
replace that splice with my own and all three worked again.Quite an
easy fix.Good luck.
Apparently you are not the only one with this problem!
