If the other functions work, like tilt, etc. There may be someting jammed in one of the tracks, like money, a penny will do this. Also, these seats have cable problems from the motor to the seat transmissions. The seat will prob need removed, shop usually charges 3 hrs labor to repair.

Check the two fuse boxes (use your smartphone camera and flash) for anything burned out . Note: There are two fuse boxes, one inside, under the dash and another by the engine.

Driverside seat wont move ,stuck in farthest back position

The fuses for the seat are shared with other features on the car such as power antenna. Has any other power feature gone off as well?
Check the runners the seat slides in. There might be something trapped in there blocking the running action.
There are two fuse boxes. One under the hood in the rear drivers side corner, under a black plastic cover. The other is inside the car, inside the end panel of the dash. (With the door open).
Check fuses 1 and 18 as they cover the power seat functions.

CHECK YOUR WIRES UNDER THE SEAT WHERE YOU WERE CLEANING, PROBABLY SCRAPED OR CUT A WIRE OR CONNECTION. THAT WOULD SEEM LIKE A GOOD PLACE TO START.

Power seat problems driver side will not move

Seat motor, connector, wiring, fuse and position switch are the only item in the picture here,

I will start with checking the motor connector (NOT AIR BAG) first.

Fuse second and work you way to the switch,

If you are handy you can apply 12V power to the seat and see does it move.

A dirty seat track rail can also cause the fuse to blow,

Power seat still wont move

uys what I found on mine was under the fuse box panel, Ford did a factory splice.Orange w green stripe wire or vice versa been a while, that splice turned green and coroded inside. All i had to do was replace that splice with my own and all three worked again.Quite an easy fix.Good luck.

Apparently you are not the only one with this problem!

Hey cm_szasz!
Here's a diagnostic procedure for the power seats: http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/service/850/PowerSeats.pdf

And here's a load of wiring diagram including power seats: http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/service/850/SystemWiringDiagrams.pdf

The above links are for '95 models, but as far as I know they're identical.
Get the multimeter out and start checking voltages :)
Good luck mate!
