Check the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator for any sign of gas being sucked into the line. A failed regulator will let extra gas get into the engine. If it's okay, have the fuel pressure checked. That's sure a lot of gas, way too much for the engine. Good luck.

My 2001 was doing this...would also cut out randomly mid-acceleration and return to idle. Very fun when trying to get up to freeway speed! Turned out to be an accelerator pedal position sensor. Also threw no codes! Was approx a $500 (part+labor) about 4 years ago.

Is the check engine light on?
No lights on and had it hooked up at auto zone just in case the check engine light was burnt out but nothing reads out
Sorry also forgot to mention that I'm only gettin about 5-6 miles per gallon on gas I was gettin about 30 mpg before problem
