MY grandmother has a 1989 GMC Sierra 1500 and about a year ago the truck started stalling, more like cutting of and some times not being able to start back up right away. For, example i was driving her and we came to a 4 way stop. As i slowed down to stop at the stop sign the truck just cut off, luckily it started right back up. Now she has had several mechanics take look and they've changed some of everything on it. She even took it and put it on the computer to be tested and nothing showed up on there. But after all that it still continues cut off at random times.
There is an ignition module located rite beside the distributor cap on the distributor base these are well known for getting weak and heating up thus causing your engine to stall.

my truck does the same thing, it stalls randomly for no reason. It has done it maybe 15 times in the last two years. Now it has finally stalled and won't start. I don't believe it is fuel related, i've tryed starting fluid and not even a sputter.
1989 GMC Sierra 1500 305 auto. It starts fine. Runs till it warms up then shuts off and wont start for a couple hours. Changed ing. module on distributer didnt help. Its getting spark and fuel.
2003f150 hit the brakes truck cuts off but start back up each time i slow down to stop
