So that mean the old one is all ready removed.?
or did you mean all steps in the fsm for INJECTOR.
the steps are the same on all EFI fuel rail injectors.
you could google that or you tube it or read the FSM.

hide call keys from step 2 on, or very bad things can happen.
(wife or kids no aware of danger)
ill just cover the (basics)
1: per FSM , depressurize the system, in can be at 60PSI
parked. so avoid fuel in eyes, or a fire. we do that first.
gain access to rail under failure. (RUF) (no barking)
2: remove injector X , wire plug. (failing)
3: then detach the injector rail clamps the both rails off as one....
injector are all now loose, to pull off.
4: add new seals to new injector, and install in reverse order.

that's it, only the gain access , varies,... mostly.

last depressure steps:
run engine,
remove fuel pump relay, engine stalls. key off, hide keys
!

next tje FSM words (just the OFF section)

  1. Remove fuel tank filler tube cap.
  2. Perform Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure.
  3. Remove negative battery cable at battery.
  4. Remove air duct at throttle body air box.
  5. Remove air box at throttle body.
  6. Disconnect fuel line latch clip and fuel line at fuel rail. A special tool will be necessary for fuel line disconnection.
  7. Remove necessary vacuum lines at throttle body.
  8. Disconnect electrical connectors at all 6 fuel injectors. Push red colored slider away from injector. While pushing slider, depress tab and remove connector from injector. The factory fuel injection wiring harness is numerically tagged (INJ 1, INJ 2, etc.) for injector position identification. If harness is not tagged, note wiring location before removal.
  9. Disconnect electrical connectors at throttle body sensors.
  10. Remove 6 ignition coils.
  11. Remove 4 fuel rail mounting bolts.
  12. Gently rock and pull left side of fuel rail until fuel injectors just start to clear machined holes in cylinder head. Gently rock and pull right side of rail until injectors just start to clear cylinder head holes. Repeat this procedure (left/right) until all injectors have cleared cylinder head holes.
  13. Remove fuel rail (with injectors attached) from engine.
end expert.

SOURCE: jeep liberty 2002 air conditioning

please elaborate, does your inside fan still works? does your compressor clutch kicks in?...would you know if you have refrigerant in your system? if you can trace the hose from the compressor to the evaporator, you can see a plastic cap normally blue with a big letter "L" at the top, then it is the low side fitting, you can remove the cap and get a pin and press the pin at the center( be carefull, refrigerant might be present). if there is none, then you have a leak. u lost all of your refrigerant that is why the ac did not work. if you do have a big burst of gas as you press it, then it is not a refrigerant problem,
a lot more to be tackle as you help me diagnose your problem.

tnx

Replacing Fuel Injectors

there is a 100s of pages for electrics in the FSM>
or at alldata.com
but you must know what engine you have first.

what kind of diagram. there are many, mech. electrical, , assemble, etc.
the injectors have a common 12vdc power feed.
then each injector is fired with a single wire from PCM to each injector
this is done using a power transistor in the PCM.
it acts as a switch grounding the injector for say 5/1000 of a second
and it squirts.

Hi vic here i have a 2002 liberty 3.7 in the morning first up when i drive the vehicle it goes very well then a little down the road it gets slugish and runs rough how often should you change the fuel...

Recommended every 15,000miles or 20,000km, usually once a year. However for that year of jeep I'm fairly sure it is in the fuel tank, attached to the pump module and is not serviceable. Try a parts retailer and see if one is available for that model and year of jeep. Perhaps look into a fuel injector flush or tune-up if you have high mileage.

2002 jeep liberty, engine doesnt want to stay running, must give throttle, hard start. heavy misfire when running, codes P0202 and P1282. thinking its a pcm issue?

check security of the wiring for fuel injector for cylinder #2. Check resistance of this injector and compare the reading to another injector. replace if needed

There may be an issue with your fuel pump relay or its wiring. however service injector first to see if trouble code does not return

I have key is on but no power to fuel gauge and injector fuse engine cranks but no start on Jeep liberty 02

Sounds like the security system has shut down power the fuel system. That must be reset by a Jeep dealer.
