It's probably your starter solenoid that is stuck on. Older fords had this solenoid or relay located on the passenger fender apron, but I think on your '95 model, it is located on the starter motor itself.

There are copper contact points or buttons inside the solenoid. Yours must have stuck together. Pretty simple fix: pull the starter off and change the solenoid.

How to wire ignition switch on 95 top kick with a 31106 cat

Identify Components: Before starting, make sure you have the ignition switch and necessary wiring harness.

Disconnect Battery: Ensure the battery is disconnected to prevent any electrical accidents.

Locate Ignition Switch Wiring Diagram: Obtain a wiring diagram for the ignition switch and the Caterpillar 3116 engine. This will help you identify the correct wires to connect.

Mount Ignition Switch: Mount the ignition switch in a convenient and secure location within the vehicle.

Connect Wires: Using the wiring diagram, connect the wires from the ignition switch to the corresponding terminals on the Caterpillar 3116 engine. Typically, the ignition switch will have terminals labeled for various functions such as ignition, accessory, starter, and battery.

Test Connections: Once the wiring is completed, double-check all connections to ensure they are secure and correctly wired.

Reconnect Battery: Reconnect the vehicle's battery.

Test Ignition: Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position and verify that electrical components such as lights, gauges, and accessories are functioning properly.

Start Engine: Attempt to start the engine and ensure that the starter engages and the engine cranks properly.

Final Checks: After successful installation, perform a final check of all connections and ensure that there are no loose wires or potential electrical hazards.

1957 wiring diagram wires coming from the light switch ,headlight and blinker?

There were many vehicles made in 1957 when I was 4 years old :>D

Google

1957 (make model) wiring diagram

then look at the images tab.

And your instructions "Don't show me a wiring diagram" aren't going to work on this site. If you can't follow a wiring diagram, you need to use the services of an auto-electrician. I doubt anyone can remember working on a vehicle made in 1957.

I can can read a wiring diagram within limits, but no one knows what vehicle you have. There weren't even Haynes or Clymer service videos in those days, not even microfich. You could also try searching for specialist forums for the make and model. They are all a great resource and members will happily share knowledge and printed resources..

98 Bonneville does nothing nothing when I attempt to start it, however the lights, radio and alarms all work. I charged the battery. No change.

Testing the electrical circuit's would need to be done to find the problem . Looking at a wiring diagram for the starter electrical circuit ,to see what all is involved in starting the vehicle. First off is the security light lit on the insturment cluster ? Check engine light ? Do you know what a automotive electrical diagram is ? Here is a web site for free wiring diagrams . http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle info. Year , make , model etc.... Then click engine under system ,then charging system under subsystem . Click the search button , then the second blue link . This is the starting system wiring . Looking at the diagram you will see there is a bunch of stuff . IGN switch , starter enable relay , park neutral safety switch ,Pass-key 2 theft deterrent module , starter . Knowing how it all works an where to test is the key to fixing a no start problem . Knowing computer controlled system helps too .

What do i do after installing starter and still no start but al other elec works and battery good? Cables to starter on wrong a possibility?

You put the positive battery cable on the starter? I don't know how you could get that wrong, so the battery is hot at the starter there, and as soon as the small wire on the starter solenoid activates the solenoid (it should with the key in start, the only time that small wire has power on it) then the battery is connected directly to the starter motor and the engine should crank.

Find a wiring diagram of the start circuit for your vehicle, and trace the circuit from the start position of the ignition switch to the starter solenoid. There may be a starter relay involved, there surely will be a park/neutral safety switch or a manual clutch switch depending on the transmission you have, and there may be a theft deterrent module that is involved or maybe not. You will need a wiring diagram to diagnose it and a voltmeter would be very helpful. Post back with year, make, model, and engine size- I might be able to look at a wiring diagram, or send you a link.

94ford probe won't start

Well Sandra , the thing to do would be to get it to turn the engine over with the key , Then diagnose the no start problem . Look at a wiring diagram (do you know what that is ?) When you turn the key to start , the electrical part of the ignition switch sends B+ voltage to the starter interrupter relay through the clutch switch to the starter motor solenoid . Testing the electrical circuit with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter with the help of a wiring diagram ,so you know where to test is the proper way to diagnose the problem . Not guessing ,an rigging the stuff . You can find free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html
Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine ! Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click starting . Click the search button then the third blue link .

Starter on truck is not starting truck

There are safety switches on the brake pedal lever(automatic) or clutch pedal lever(stick) depending on year. What usually happens is that your feet bump or break the switch and you lose the starter pulse. This switch is suppose to prevent "runaway" vehicles by insuring that your foot is on the brake pedal or clutch when you use the starter. Look under the drivers dash on the brake or clutch lever.

There can also be another switch on some models that is for safety and insures the gearshift is in Park. Finally, some ignition switches have adjustments where they attach to the steering column. The ignition switch has slots which allow the adjustment.

The loss of your signal to the starter relay can be verified by using a Voltmeter on the small wire of the starter relay, then backtrace the above switches to restore the signal.

Diagrams are on the Web by doing a search specific for the year, make, and model followed by which part you want to find. (example -fusepanel or powerbox)

I just put in a starter in but still won't start, all the wires are connected and tight there is power going to the starter and the starter works i tested before putting it in,i can only think of one...

,i can only think of one thing short in the wire somewhere, ????? WRONG - open wire not shorted . Looking at wiring diagrams an using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test the starter electrical circuits is the proper way to diagnose . Plus knowing how the circuit works would help . Your going at this blind.... That's why professional technicians go to training classes an why the factory spends millions on publishing service repair manuals . Looking at a wiring diagram i see that when the key is turned to the start position it sends a voltage signal to the PCM - engine control module . The PCM then supply's a ground to energize the starter relay ,this will close the contacts inside the relay sending B+ voltage to the S terminal on the starter solenoid . I see the PCM/CRANK fuse 10amp. located in the I/P fuse box. PCM/ABS fuse 10amp. I/P fuse box . I also see fusible link C (gray) this comes from the starter main batt. cable hook up. Do you know how a relay works ?

VEHICLE RELAYS Operation Diagnosis

Having a factory or professional grade scan tool to check input from the ignition switch to the PCM an checking starter relay control would be a big plus in the diagnostic procedure . But can diagnose without it. Does your vehicle have a security light lit on the instrument cluster ? If so , this will keep the PCM from starting the vehicle . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. under system click on engine , then under subsystem click starting . Click the search button then the blue link.

How to install a remote car starter

The remote start should come with instructions, you will need these especially for the diagram of the units wiring harness.  It will need to be wired into the ignition key on wire, the ignition starter wire, power and ground, and usually the brake light wire, and a hoodpin disable switch that will come with the unit.  Also most manufactures will have a website with vehicle specific details like color and location of each wire on the vehicle.  hope this helps.
