Hi,

A modern vehicle can have many control modules to control various systems.

The 1st diagram below gives you the locations of the Engine Control Module, Body ECU, Theft Deterrent ECU and Shift Lock Control ECU.

However, if you are referring to the main Electronic Control Module (ECM) which controls the engine systems, the 2nd diagram will give you an idea what it looks like (it's much larger and will usually have the engine model on the label):

2002 Toyota Camry overdrive fuse

It isn't a fusible item, it is a function of the Engine Control Module. You need an auto electrician for issues and to diagnose faults.

Just got my oil changed and the day after my vsc lights come on- any connection?

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Antilock brake system.TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module

I have a 2007 Camry and the check engine came on for one day then shut off. When hooked up to a computer it had a code for ECM and I was sent to the dealer. I was told it was under warranty but Toyota said...

The Toyota Factory Warranty for the Engine Control Module (the ECM) is 8 years/80,000 miles; from the date of first use.

Your ECM should be a covered item.

2007 camry check engine light came on this morning. I'ts a 4 cyl 2007 camry se, which seems to be running fine. Are there simple issues I can check to see if that is the cause? i.e. air filter, gas cap,...

there is nothing to reset, u need to have the OBD 2 electronic control module (called a PCM) tested for fault/trouble codes, whenever this light is turned on by this module then a fault has occured in the engine, emission or transmission controls, there is seldom if ever a symptom other then the light, Kragen Auto and Autozone will test this for free outside of California, have the system tested for OBD 2 trouble codes.
