I`m guessing that you are talking about the heater core blew and you have coolant on the inside of your car.you can bypass the heater core by disconnecting the hoses that connect to the heater core and connecting a hose connector between the two hoses and your done.however if you need heat you won`t have it until the heater core is replaced.

Waterleaking passenger floor all wet!!! where is the heater coil and can i by pass it

call any auto parts store to find exact location of heater core. yes you can bypass it, but you will have no heat inside of car, it needs to be replaced. to bypass just hook hoses from core together, without going through heater core.

2001 FORD EXPEDITION XLT 4.6L V8 BLOWING MILD WARM BUT NOT WARMING THOROUGHLY. HAVE FLUSHED COOLING SYSTEM THREE TIMES, AND CHANGED THERMOSTAT. HAVE ALSO REMOVED DASH AND REPLACED "BLEND DOOR" AND BLEND...

You hot air comes from the water circulated through the heater core. It is like a miniture radiator with water flowing thru it constantly. So by opening the "Blend Door" you are permitting so much of this hot air to pass thru.

Seems like for some reason your heater core is plugged up. Just like a radiator can be. So water may be passing through your heater core but not passing through fully. Your heater core gets hot from water passing throught it from the engine. Then your doors open up, in proportion to how much air is permitted to pass over the heater core.

Suggest to remove the heater core and replace it. Seems the blend doors are working properly but again, if you have a non working heater core then no air can pass over the "Hot Core" for you to recieve hot air.

If you are not mechanically inclined, then go to a local parts store and you can buy a car manual, such as Chilton's or Hane's Car manuals, for your year and make to show you how to replace it. Then you can also have it for any other problems that may arise.

Its leaking water from the fire wall and steams up insiide thre car

either the heater core has sprung a leak, or the hose and its discharge is shooting inside the passenger compartment.my bet is on the heater core.you can by-pass the heater core.
remove both hose's that go to heater core and connect hoses with a piece of tubing, or make a loop with on hose to connect both water outlets .

No heat in my dakota. flushed heater core and replaced therm with a reg one.

check for poor flow to heater core-change heater hoses -check for lime build up at intake connector or worn out water pump -if you only put water through core try using CLRlime cleaner in core-get two 6in pieces or heater hose hook them to core and pour it in and leave for 15 mins then wash out with water hose

When you bypass the heater core the path for the water to go through the core is gone. Correct?, you have connected to engine water line out to the engine water input? thus bypassing the heater core........

No, you just won't have water flow through the heater core, Coolant flows through the engine through the lower radiator hose as the water pump sucks it out of the radiator and pushes it through the engine. It then flows out the top radiator hose when the thermostat opens. It then flows into the radiator to cool off.

Is your heater core leaking?

My heat is not working. Its throwing out very cold air now. It happen before and i replace thermostat and blew air threw heater core. I blew air threw heater core the other day now its throwing out real...

It sounds like your heater core is stopped up, or be sure your coolant is flowing, and picking up heat from your engine...Thermostat, water pump, etc.

Heater not putting out warm air

two things,

one the air does not pass thru the heater coil.
check the vanes of the dust if it is opening and closing as you switch the levers.

2nd the water valve to the core does not open to let the hot water in to the core.

check the valve if it is stuck close. feel the hose if it is getting warm as water passes thru.

tnx 4 using fixya,
