2005 sedona won't start all of a sudden. Doesn't make a sound except for a tiny whirring sound like the feul injectors. Replaced starter...still won't start. checked all fuses...they are good. is there a hidden fuse? Help! I need to drive to work!

Well, we thought of that and tried jumping it, letting it charge for 30 minutes with a jump. We even replaced the battery with another battery and still no action. I am wondering if it could be a security thing because there is a plate to wave a magnetic key under that enables the van to start (theft deterent). I am worried that somehow it is locked and a dealer will have to charge me thousands just to unlock or replace. Any ideas?

You could just have dead cell in the battery which isn't getting enough amps to the starter,, have the battery LOAD checked,, that will tell you if the battery is actually good, just because it registers 12 volts isn't necessarily an indication that the required amps are present.

you can call the dealer, tell him your stranded, and you think it may be the security devise,, they have ways to get around that I'm sure , if you have a meter you can check for voltage at the actual starter, and check to be sure that all the wires going to it are good ,, I had one on a mustang once that had separated at the crimp on clip,, it drove me crazy for a few hours,,

Turns out you were absolutely right. After 2 weeks of saving my money for a costly repair or a dealership fix, A guy accross the street wheeled his super battery charger over and after 10 minutes, the van was running. Of cours with a brand new starter in it that I cannot return because the old (good) starter is gone. so what cost me 300 bucks could have cost me 92 bucks. Lesson learned. I will always listen to you in the future. thank you.

My van just stopped working also. I drove it an hour before, tried to crank it up and it doesn't do anything. We tested the battery, got 12v on the meter, put another battery in its place and it was making the same high-pitched, quiet buzz. I have no idea where the starter is so I can check the wiring leading to it.

I have a 92 Toyota 4runner that I replaced the feul pump injectors and feul line it has spark and feul to the plenum if I squirt feul in the tbody it will start but won't stay running I also have power...

Tough one,Check all the fuses in the underhood box?
Fuse links are there also, pink and green plastic .Best
to check 'em with an ohmmeter just to be sure.Plue if
you remove them to check you can look for corrosion
at the terminals.
If the throttle pos. sensor is at wide open throttle the
injector pulse will be disabled. Could be the tps,
Hate to think the ECM is at fault,(like 250.00) but it
could also be the problem.

Ford Ka starter motor won't start but makes whirring sound. It usually takes 3 turns of the iginition to start

Sounds like the solenoid is bad on the starter..Starter probably needs replacing.

Hey I literally just today had the same problem, put a new bulb in the light was on but did not blink!!!! SUPER EASY SOLUTION, you simply have the bulb in too far. I gently pulled mine out a tiny bit and it started working fine... guarantee that's all that's happening to you!!!

If it will crank in neutral but not in park, the neutral safety switch should be tested.

Why won't my new fuel pump in my 2002 kia sedona pump even though it's getting juice from the battery

Have you checked the injector rail with a gauge to know for sure the injectors are not getting fuel ?
If the pump is running but not pumping fuel I would think it is a clogged filter or screen in the tank.

2003 kia Sedona won't. start

If this is a sudden occurrence and nothing suspicious happened prior, you most likely lost either gas or spark to the engine. You need to check for both.

Do you hear the fuel pump in the gas tank buzz on for a couple of seconds when you turn the ignition key to ON? Unless the fuel pump turns on and puts gas under high pressure at the fuel injectors, the engine cylinders won't get gas to start. Correct fuel pressure is crucial to know if you have a fuel pump (or fuel filter) problem. If the pressure is correct, it is probably not a fuel problem but a spark problem, although there are less common instances where a fuel injector circuit may malfunction.

The ignition system not producing spark at the spark plugs is the other common problem of no starts. Buy a cheap spark tester at a parts store, plug it into one of your spark plug wires, then crank the engine over and watch for a strong blue spark. You might need a helper to do this. If you see a consistent spark, the ignition system is probably good, although you should probably check more than just one plug wire-sometimes one bad ignition coil in a coil pack will cause no starting. Good luck.
