The answer to that question is TOTALLY different depending on which engine your Gran Prix is equipped with. The choices are:

> V6-3.8L VIN 2
> V8-5.3L VIN C
> V6-3.8L SC VIN 4

This is really must know information - especially if you are asking somebody for help with your engine, engine accessories, or engine control systems.

    That one is very easy....
Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil.
Remove the two ignition coil screws.
    Remove the ignition coil.
    Reverse proceedure to install.

How do i kno when to change my coil pack on a 98 Pontiac grand prix

you only need to change this if it stops working or one set of the coils stops or causes a firing problem.also keep in mind that if a complete coil stops working it could be the ignition module causing the problem

2006 pontiac grand prix recevied code P0303, changed spark plugs, wires, and fuel injector. Car still shakes and check enigine light is still on. Acceleration is fine.

Spark plugs, wires and injectors, have nothing to do with your problem

PO303 is a misfire on cylinder #3
You may have an individual cylinder coil for that cyl or a coil pack for
several cyl, don't know the engine you have.

You may also have other issues that are causing the shaking

Coil packs

Usually it's best to unbolt the entire bracket. Make sure you label the plug wires. Unplug the control module. Change 1 coil at a time, they should be held on with 7 or 8mm bolts.
