Remove injector pipes, then rocker cover and you will then see injectors inside, secured by a clamp and bolt on each cylinder.

Hyundai Accent CRDI. The car is perfect in cold conditions with less smoke and regular pick up. However post the engine heating up, with AC on pick drops by 70% with heavy black smoke.

Bad coolant temp sensor. This part takes the place of old style choke, and when bad ECM doesn't know engine has warmed up so fuel mix stays too rich.

Hello all I have an accent 2005 CRDI. It starts in the morning After a little ride It stubborns to start and I can see lot of smoke and the mechanic says it is fuel injector problem. Please advice .

Venkata, According to Injectorrx.com: "
Fuel injector symptoms for bad, faulty, dirty, clogged, or leaking injectors are :

  • Starting issues

  • Poor idle

  • Failed emissions

  • Poor Performance

  • Engine does not reach full RPM

  • Increased fuel consumption

  • Rough engine performance

  • Surging and bucking under various throttle loads

  • Smoke from the tail pipe

  • Engine Knock or Detonation which can lead to catastrophic engine failure

  • Pollution"

Venakta: I have had very good luck with a fuel injector cleaner sold by Advanced Auto called KX44 but some people like Seafoam. It is a cheaper place to start than with a mechanic.

Hii..... I am from kerala. . Planning to buy a hyundai accent CRDi 2005 model.. vehicle completed185000kms till now.. engine reset done at 140000kms... is it a gud option to buy that vehicle?? What all...

Hyundai makes a very good, low problem car. They don't seem to have any issues that other cars don't, and with proper maintenance, should easily get over 350,000 km. Timing belts and water pumps are common as well as basic maintenance items like oil changes and brake pads. Good luck!

Hi, I've an accent crdi 2003. In mornings engine

I would check the catlic converter to see if its not blocked, best thing to do is to go to a exhaust shop and they can do vacume test or tempreature test.

My Hyundai Matrix with CRDI engine is spewing white smoke. Mechanic says it is due to a oil leaking from an overused bearing of the turbo. He also says it cannot be repaired and has to be replaced...

It's true that turbos can't be rebuilt by the average mechanic. There is a lot of close tolerances and special tools required to repair a turbo. They have to be sent to a shop that specializes in that. I'm sorry for the bad news but thats it. Hope this helps.

2002 Hyundai Accent Problem

first thing i need to know is did the timing belt break?
second is are you sure you aligned the timing marks and after the belt tensioner was tight you rechecked to make sure the timing stayed where you had it.
next step would be a compression check to if a valve was bent whenchanging the belt
i have seen this happen and this engine is an interferance engine.
