I'm having the same water accumulation problem passenger side front. I created the drainage plug and still having problem. I believe its coming from outside into the drain plug area...is there an easy way to seal around the drain plug from inside...or do I have to go in through the wheel cowling area?...thanks for taking the problem

Could be a clogged water drain line (blow it out w air), the heater core may be leaking (any coolant} windshield seal. when its dried up, use a hose to spray water on the car to see if u can create the condition for a diagnosis.

SOURCE: Water coming in to front passenger floor when it rains

The heater/airconditioner box under the dash has a drain hose to allow condensation to drain when the air conditioner is running. If this hose gets plugged, rain may accumulate in this box also (if it's raining heavily), as it comes in through the fresh air intake.

Look on the engine side of the firewall, probably on the passenger side, for a hose coming through the firewall that is not connected to anything. It is usually short, has a 90 degree bend, and the open end is down. Make sure that the end of this hose is not plugged.

SOURCE: Water Leak in Passenger Side Floor Vent Area after car wash

Unless this happens in the rain as well, I would not worry about it. Likely in the car wash, far more water is coming in than the normal drain system can handle, therefore causing it to overflow. If you do have a drain obstruction, find the drain hose (small right angle hose on firewall passenger side) and roll it in your fingers to clear it.

SOURCE: 2003 Jeep Cherokee Leaks Water on Passenger Side

Just had ours fixed, look on engine side of firewall, if the outlet pipe in passenger well is a 3/4 inch long pipe projecting forward into engine bay with no tubing leading down towards the ground, the problem is water comes out trickles back with pressure in engine bay to foam seal under the pipe and enters footwell inside car.
Take a piece of rubber tubing and hose clamp it on and direct it down towards ground in engine bay and the problem will be solved!
We have gone from soaking carpet to no leak at all with this simple fix.

Why is the carpet wet on the inside passenger side

The door's drainage system could be clogged.

The car door has a drainage system inside which allows rainwater to flow down outside, however over time it gets clogged with dirt and the water accumulation inside will leak into the vehicle.

Go to a mechanic where they can use a pneumatic air gun or some device to clear the blockage.

Getting condensation drainage accumulation on passenger side floorboards of 2006 Chevy HHR.

Your drain hose is clogged. If you park under trees, debris can get in there. Once the hose is clogged, the water has to go somewhere, so it goes onto the passenger-side floorboard because that's where the evaporator is (under/behind the glove box).

Pacifica sunroof & a-pillar leaking

It sounds to me that your problem is above the headliner. There are drain tubes at each corner of the sunroof pan that allow water to drain under an outside of the vehicle. It sounds like one of the front tubes has either cracked, come off, or are just plugged up and allowing the water to overflow the pan.

Waterleak front passenger side , blocked drain holes?

Check first where exactly the water comes from. It may come from the drain from the AC since the evaporator is located at that side. It may just be accumulating more moisture. If it is towards the engine it may be a bad water pump.

Wet floors on passenger side after it rains.

Is it possible the water is actually coming from the A/C evaporator case, whose DRAIN IS CLOGGED ? The water produced by the A/C then leaks out of the case, down under the carpeting, then depending how vehicle is parked, can flow to the rear floors and carpet. Hope this helps

I have water leaking inside the car on the passanger side floor. It looks like its coming from the air ducks.

Was the air conditioning on? Usually water on the floor of the passenger side would mean the AirConditioners drainage hose was either clogged or became disconnected.
