First off if its a a transaxle. it doesnt have bands the clutches are built inside of the casing. second im having the same issue but im on the path its two things right now. a shift soleniod or a VSS(vehicle speed sensor) but my abs light is on and im sure it threw it into limp mode or defult mode. i was getting all gears until i changed my CV axle. i must have damaged it during replacement.

Has the transmission ever had any services done? Its possible it has just gone out. There are clutches and bands inside and without proper service they will go out.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I will be taking it in to service the trany (rebuild)."

1999 FORD EXPERDITION TRANSMISSION WON'T MOVE FORWARD BUT MY REVERSE WORKS FINE WHAT I NEED TO DO

You can try shifting into manual 1 to get moving then once you get going shift the lever up into Drive. This should work, then drive it to a shop to have your ****** looked at.

I have a 1999 ford taurus, I am getting ready to hand this down to my youngest daughter but want to make sure its in working order, just recently I can start it up and it wants to stall immediately, if I...

You need to have the Idle air controller cleaned or replaced, and the throttle position sensor checked or replaced-and while you are at it, have the throttle body cleaned. Since she is going to be driving it, you should consider doing a tuneup (plugs, air filter, fuel filter, plug wires or have COP's checked for oil in the bottom of the plug holes)-an oil change, and checking the brake linings, antifreeze and cooling system maintenance.

Hello my transfer box and lock box on the 4 lo imposible to change the way my truck its a 2001 dodge dakota 3.9 v6

Your bound up. You can usually get it unbound by driving back and forth. If you can't get into reverse then go to a small hill drive up a little ways then coast back down. don't drive in 4 wheel drive unless it is slick out as it can be a little bit hard on the running gear. try going forward very slowly then put on the brakes kinda hard. this may help release the bound up condition

Ford Windstar drives in reverse but will not move forward. Gear shift leaver moves freely in all positions

either a control solonoid or the something major inside the box ,check the operating mechanism onto the gearbox

When driving at 60mph this 99 windstar quite moving. No forward or reverse. Is this the neutral safety or a sensor?

Assuming the engine runs, this sounds like a transmission problem. Check your transmission fluid to make sure it is at the proper level and doesn't have a burned smell. If all is well, you will probably need to have an experienced transmission mechanic look at it for you. Good luck!

I have a code po705 my car goes reverse neutral

p0705 is the transmission range sensor which tells the ECM what gear the transmission is in neutral/reverse. Which was probably happened when you lost Drive gear
