You said AIR on hot or cold.... what about just vent on high with the AC off? does that work normally?

Your Air Conditioner might be low on refrigerant. If the AC doesn't cool down and had signs where it took a while to start cooling, you likely have a slow leak. It could be that an O ring wore out and started leaking, or a hose developed a leak. Rubber components tend to be the first parts that wear out over a period of time. A shop can confirm if your 134A refrigerant leaked out of the system.

if the ac system is very strong and there a lot moisture in the air the a'c evaporator core will freeze up and stop air flow threw the cold core only use the recuiculation part to cool the car down about 5-10 min the turn the recuit off

Good morning, I own a 2001 Nissan Altima. When I run my AC and stop, or put it in reverse, my car stalls. I would just turn off my AC, but now when I am on the Interstate it tends to "pull" like if i was losing power.

You are not going to like my solution. By law the only people who can work on a/c or licensed to do so. There is a fine and jail time for those who violate.

If sorry but I would rather see you hot and free than cool and playing basket ball with the other inmates.

Make sure the compressor is working or the belt isnt spinning rather than turning. Could be a bad belt or malfunctioning compressor.

What year is this car ??, because the top of my screen sais 2001 Altima, but your heading sais 1997. And how did you charge it?? with a machine or out of a can??

1. Probably your AC has air inside
2.You have to use vacuum machine to **** the air out from your AC and then fill up ES-22a or R-22, if you know how to do it, otherwise take to the AC specialist to do it.
