2005 PT Cruiser showing P0456 and P0522. Cranks but wont start.

The sensor that is most likely causeing the problem is the low oil pressure sensor. It is telling the cpu that you have a problem that unless you correct it, the motor will suffer serious damage from insufficient lubrication.Have the oil pressure checked with a manual gauge then replace the sensor unit if faulty.

Crank shaft position sensor code. Where is the crank shaft position sensor located?

The crankshaft sensor is located just above the the oil filter, which is by the front of the engine, by the firewall. I reached it from underneath the car. There is one bolt holding it in place.

There is no sensor on the back side of the block above the oil filter on my 05 PT Cruiser. Is there another possible location for the crankshaft position sensor??

around the bellhousing where it can access the flywheel is the most logical ,have you had a good look at the engine and looked at both front pulley and the bellhousing first though before asking?but some vehicles do have them in the block level with the craknshaft ,just have a good look and you will no doubt find it

Were i the crankshaft position sensor located o a 2005 pt cruiser

near the oil filter.. above it...under exhaust manifold one small bolt holds it on. If the is a no start condition look for frayed wiring near crank sensor..... it has a harness that hangs too low on some of those. & rubs on cv shaft

it helps if you can lift or jack up the vehicle. be sure & use jack stands. it should be above oil filter on engine block under exhaust manifold. look for a sensor with one bolt holding it on. also check for frayed wires rubbing on cv shaft. sometimes all they need is fix one frayed wire

Chugging and power lose

Major tune up and change the crank sensor and the camshaft sensor. Also look at the wire harnes for both they have a problem shorting out. Mostly the harness to the crank sensor at or above the oil filter. This wire shorts because of heat and needs to be rerouted and insulated. Also, make sure you have all your gaskets inside of the intake maniflods and throttle body is secure with no air leakes. Change all your senors on this car that seems to be the trouble with this car is the sensors........runjoe
