I have a 2000 dodge neon!! i was on the express way when out of anything the cars shut down ...it does have gas ...the only thing it staays on while iam pressing the gas pedal but as soon as i let it go it goes compltly off..can u tell me what it could be?

It could be the uel pump (not enough pressure) or fuel filter and don't forget first to check oil level and coolant level, hope this helps good luck!

It sounds like your Idle Air Control (IAC) solenoid could be sticking in the OFF position.
Is your check engine light on whileyou are driving? If it is, then your computer will have stored fault codes that can lead you to the solution.

If the check engine light is not on, I would recommend scanning for fault codes anyway. If there are no fault codes present, then I would recommend replacing the IAC. These tend to not sent any fault codes sometimes even when it is obvious that they are not working.
