SOURCE: while in drive, the idle

I have a 91 shadow and had a similar problem. Mine is fuel injected, and the quick fix was to just go buy some fuel injector cleaner, I reccomend STP, and throw that in the gas tank every fill up for about a month. Mine hasn't had the problem since.

Automatic 330i 2001, if i start accelarating at 3rd gear the RPM keep increaing and if i release the gas the car should change to next gear but i does not...at low RPMs it is working fine

the gearbox is a "fuzzy logic"system.gearchange depends on accelerator pedal position/revs/load.if you drive without depressing the gas peddle more than a third down you should find all gearchanges much smoother.(if you drive with gas peddle almost hard down all the time yhe car will hold gears longer...poss 4500 revs or more......

Try disconnecting the battery (both terminals and let set for a few hours) with ALL the accessorries on lights-heater-radio etc. This will draw all power from your system, then recconnect battery, it's worth a try even if it doesn't solve your problem. Bill

Pardon me if im wrong but there might have been a recall on that years model for the IAC motor. may not apply here because i dont know what rpms your at when it happens. Also watch your gas dodges are notorious for water in the gas tanks. I have a 1998 and it still does some of what yours does until it goes to closed loop and its truly warm(have to keep my foot into it until then or it will trip the knock sensor after a while.)This ethanol gas is horrible when you get below a quarter tank. hope this helps
