Spark plug gap for 2007 Subaru Outback

You can gap your new plugs at .039 to .043 . I gap at .043 with no performance problems. Good Luck Friend.

Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1998 Legacy Outback AWD wagon?

The fuel pump relay is located under the dash on the drivers side. If I remember correctly there are 3 relays next to each other and the fuel pump relay is the middle one.

How to fill 1998 subaru outback newly installed radiator

the cooling system will not fill completely if the bleed plug located @ the highest point of the system up is not opened when you are filling up..that plug could be @ the radiator , but normally is @ the top of the system where the top rad hose are..replace the plug after bleeding the system is complete..

Audio stopped working

It sounds like a computer problem. Every time you shut down, the audio chip reboots. Then when it warms up, it fails again. If it's still under warranty, I'd take it in for a chip replacement. If not, you may be SOL and have to replace the whole thing (or replace the faulty circuitboard or chip yourself..

2008 Subaru Outback - Starting

For the last couple of decades a car has changed from being a car and has become a wheeled computer - while it is still possible to tackle some traditional repairs and maintenance when things make sense, when something makes no sense it is difficult to know whether the cause is old-fashioned or the computer having a stroke, developing dementia, a sudden case of amnesia, being in a playful mood or possessed by something unworldly... Currently, due to the meanness of the manufacturers the best and possibly the only path to discovering why this is happening is a laptop with some expensive and fairly exclusive software and an experienced person to operate it...

Subaru outback knocking noise and no power

sorry the low/no oil has caused bearing failure repairs will reveal that you need new bearings, rod and possible new crankshaft if the damage is severe it comes as a cost for not doing the simple practice of not checking oil and water levels at least weekly

Sounds like your timing marks are incorrect, make sure align with the MARKS, not the DOTS on the cams.

Bought 3 mos ago 1997 Outback Limited Ed, 125k.

mcdevito75, The tranny has a front pump to pump fluid back and forth to the torque converter, a seal must be leaking fluid into the diff. also the diff, has tranny fluid in front wheel drive cars so tranny fluid in the diff. is normal, Tranny will have to come out to check that front pump, or fron tranny seal.
