It's hard to say exactly what the issue may be without more information. So, I am going to give you all I know that might apply. I would begin my looking for moisture involving ignition components. Just drop of water, inside the distributor cap, for instance, could do that. If the distributor cap is completely dry, then start looking elsewhere. Check wiring for cracking of the rubber or even a crack through to bare wire. The wiring shifts somewhat during cornering, and the "leakage" could become a short temporarily from the ignition wiring getting old and "leaky." You can further check this for previously 'invisible' cracks and shorts by opening the hood at night or in the dark (with good air flow through the room if inside), with the engine running. You are looking for an "aurora borealis" or Northern Lights appearance under the hood. f you do see it, you know that ignition wiring is long past due for replacement. If the ignition wiring is "tight," continue looking for moisture or a place where wiring might be shorting out by coming into contact with a "grounding" metal surface during cornering. Lastly, old gas stations with old underground tanks may contain water! Water in fuel can cause a host of problems, one being 'shorting' due to fireplugs failing to fire, among others.
