REMOVAL
1. Drain the coolant down to thermostat level or below. 2. Remove the coolant outlet fitting and gasket. 3. Remove the thermostat

1. Drain the coolant and disconnect the coolant outlet pipe connection hose from the coolant pump. 2. Remove the drive belt and engine coolant pump pulley. 3. Remove the timing belt covers and the timing belt idler. 4. Remove the coolant pump mounting bolts, then remove the generator brace. 5. Remove the coolant pump assembly from the cylinder block. Be sure to reduce the fuel pressure before disconnecting the fuel main pipe and hose otherwise fuel will spill out. 3. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal of the battery. 4. Remove the high pressure hose and fuel return hose. 5. Remove the fuel pump assembly.

If your saying when the problem is ongoing, the starter motor won't crank the engine, if you'll post model year, I'll try to post wiring diagram for starter motor, sometimes we can bypass everything just to see if starter motor will crank the engine? Any testing at starter motor make sure transmission is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Vehicle can't move.
