I own a 1999 911

There are charging devices which work through the cigarette lighter, but alas, because the wire to the cigarette lighter is so small, it may take several days of charging to get it started, assuming the battery is not shorted out or bad to begin with.

Maybe, a shorter interval of charging through the cigarette lighter can be tried to get enough charge or current to open the trunk lid.

Do any of the interior or exterior lights work, even dimly?

I wish you luck in charging your battery or opening the trunk lid.

I need the radio unlock

We can't provide anti theft radio security codes here at fixya, we have no access to the manufacturers data base on your car, each code is unique to each car, no 2 alike. The company at the web link below does have access to the Porsche data base and can look the code up. Go to the link.

89 porsche carrera 3.2 battery went flat, now

Theres a keyhole on the back of the siren in the engine bay, if the key is in your possession you can turn off the alarm with this - Hopefully* Also the control boxes for the alarm/immobiliser are usually under the front seats, there are 3 boxes throughout the car and they can be hard to find, each has a fuse - check the fuses and replace any that are blown - plugging and replugging the fuses may reset the immobiliser anyway I can't find a manual for it but i'm looking - try this out first and tell me what happens - there IS a proper reset procedure - but it's not exactly broadcast. i'll do my best to track down the manual for the pa1000, but it is an obsolete system and will be hard to find.

1999 Porsche Carrera will not start. Turn

Check battery cables to make sure they are not corroded, and on tight. Also, check the wires on the starter to make sure they are on tight also. Then, if you know where the starter solenoid is, jump it to see if it engages the starter, maybe get someone who knows how to do this. It should be the 2 biggest bolt/nut combos, touch them both real quick with a screwdriver. If the starter turns over, turn the key on and do it. It should start. If the starter did not turn over, it is probably bad, unless the 2 big bolt/nut wires are bad. Hope this helps.

How do i disassemble the winsheild in my car?

Unless you have done this before or have someone with you who has I would highly reccomend having a glass shop do it.Its not all that complicated but if not done correctly the new glass will leak or you could damage the roof pillar, but i will tell you how it's done.First thing is to remove the trim from around the windshield, take a putty knife or other thin flat tool and slide it under the trim from the glass side and gently pry up,the trim should start pulling free, look for where the trim overlaps itself and pull these pieces first.Next take a sharp knife and carefully slide it between the glass and the seal and start cutting the seal free, you'll need a second person one on each side lift the glass and walk towards the front of the car.Now start pulling the seal away from the sheet metal,if it wants to stick a hair dryer should make it easier. Now the fun part, you got to clean any residue from the seal off,100% of it,if you leave any residue the new seal will not seal properly and it will leak, methanal or a strong isapropyl alcohol will work well for this and leaves no residue.Prep the new glass by cleaning the sealing area with alcohol, install the new seal on the car,be careful not to touch the adhesive on the seal, the oils from your skin will foul it and cause it to not seal properly. Now the most important part, you'll need someone to help you and set of glass cups(large suction cups with handles,if you have a Harbor freight tools nearby they ussually have them in stock)they're not neccesary but will make the job easier, attach the cups or pick the glass up by the very edge, one person on each side and walk up the front of the car, line the glass up being very careful not to let the glass touch the seal, once it's lined up set the glass as evenly as possible on the seal, you have to get it right the first time, once the glass touches the seal its going to stick and pulling the glass back off will more than likely ruin the seal.Once the glass is in place use a towel to rub down each edge and fully set the seal, install the trim and your done.Hope this helps, like I said I would highly reccomned having a glass shop do the install as they have the experience and the tools to do the job.

Hi there i have just

Drive it around for abotu 5 mins. park on level ground. With the car running in park with the parking brake on pull the dipstick out wipe off the tip with a rag put it all the way back in then pull it out again and look for where the fluid has touched the dipstick. It's usually got a range of where it needs to be. Just make sure it's in that range.

Fit 9x16

No you cannot fit 9x16 alloys on this particular model of carrera because the wheel arch is only 9x14. the 3.2 carrera RS model has a 10x17 wheel arch.

Do I need to get a voltage regulator coded?

A voltage regulator is just that. You need an auto electrician to diagnose the fault. It is a lot cheaper than the dealership. https://www.google.com/search?q=mobile+auto+electrician+near+me The Voltage Regular is part of the alternator, so it is not a smart module that phones home and asks questions. https://www.google.com/search?q=voltage+regulator+for+a+Porsche+Cayenne ..

Can my 1999 Porsche Boxster be converted to automatic?

It would be possible but You will need to literally tear the entire car apart to do it; parts, even out of the junk yard, will cost way more than the car is worth. And the Vin # would show manual trany try to explain that to insurance company, dealer, buyer. Probably not a good idea.

I have a 2002 Porsche 986, I cannot get trunk to open electronically. The car runs great, so its not the Battery, I've replaced the actuator & Switch but cannot get it to work.

My vehicle has a small button in the glovebox that locks out the electronic release, a sort of over ride. The model seems to have some known history. https://www.google.com/search?q=2002+Porsche+986+trunk+lock+button ...

Locked my keys in my 2006 Porsche Cayenne am having trouble getting car open at all, battery dead, keys inside, have used every lock out kit i could find and still nothing.

You can recharge the battery from underneath using a battery charger, red lead to the big wire on the starter and the black wire on a clean bolt or body part. What about your spare keys? They come with 2 or 3.Then once it is charged, use and inflatable airbag and open the door a little.https://www.google.com/search?q=porsche+cayenne+keys+locked+in+car..
