Power door locks stopped working when using the key. Button on the center console does lock and unlock the doors. I replaced the battery in my key... still doesn't work. Any ideas? Perhaps a fuse?
Does the key still pop the trunk/hatch? That would also indicate whether or not it was the key remote. If that function works it's probably nothing on the car (i.e. "receiver") end.
There is a very good SAAB forum that would likely be the best place to find out if somebody has has this issue before and what they have done: www.saabcentral.com

2001 saab 93 convertible top how do I check hydraulic fluid
If you lower the back seat you will see a plastic cover on the botom of the opening. Remove the cover (6 appolstry fasteners) to reveal a metal box. The box is not actually a box but a cover for the hydrolic pump. Remove the fscrews from the lid and lift. The resevouar is clear and easy to check against the two fill lines on the side.

2001 Saab 9-3 with automatic transmission will start fine but cannot shift out of park shifter slides freely
CHECK BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH FUSE AND BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK SOLENOID FUSE.IF BOTH FUSES ARE GOOD.PROBLEM IS THE BRAKE SWITCH FAULTY OR BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK SOLENOID IS FAULTY.

i have a 2003 Saab 93 and i was trying to close the top yesterday. It closed all the way except for the very last step where the rear window would lower and lock. I was able to open the top all the way and try again. Same thing happened. I tried it a couple of more times, and then I was not able to lower the top at all once I had it in that original position (the rear window would not close). So I manually lowered the rear window and that's how the car is now...help??
If you look int he holes where the latch goes into, you'll see a little switch. This is not telling the car that the top is closed. You could try to "gently" pry the little arm up, or move the switch a bit (don't force it). You'll most likely find the right position for it, and it will close. Also check the pin for the motor arm. Face the trunk, open, you'll see the top boot. Peel back the weather strip in the top right of the trunk opening, and that will allow the boot to be peeled down. You'll immediately see a golden colored rod with some joints. There is a pin that falls out occasionally, that needs to be tapped back in, or replaced. If the pin is still in the rod, remember the orientation. The pin is tapered. This part is often overlooked, and causes a lot of expenses for troubleshooting.

I have a 2001 Saab 93 with a trouble code of P1251. Any idea of what that means?
Hello! The problem is that the Electronic Throttle Motor (ETM) is in limp mode...Most common fault is that the mechanism is fouled with carbon...But first check connector for loose or broken wires...It has a 10 pin connector...Remove and clean motor and throttle body using throttle body cleaner...See attached drawing...It is a procedure to take the motor out of limp mode...

My saab 93 showed error code P0100. I renewed the mass flow sensor but the error code and the poor performance is still there. the revs are limited to approx 3500.
P0100 OBD-II Trouble Code
Technical Description
Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Malfunction
Basically this means that there's a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit.
You will likely not notice any serious driving problems, but there may be symptoms like a general decrease in power or sluggishness.
Causes
A code P0100 may mean one or more of the following:
* The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad.
* The MAF sensor may be faulty.
Possible Solutions
Use an OBD II Reader (or go tou your local parts store and they will for free) and reset the code and see if it comes back.
Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:
* Check the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring/harness is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
* Unplug and reconnect the MAF wiring harness a few times to clear the contacts.
* Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information).
* Replace the MAF sensor.

there is a diagnostic code P1625 for 2001 Saab 9-3 convertible with 88,115 miles. Is this an expensive fix?
P1625 means that the engine computer has lost communication with the antilock brake and/or traction control computer for at least 3 seconds. How expensive this is depends on why it has lost communication, It could be something as simple as a loose connection at a wiring connector or a broken or shorted wire in the PCI bus circuit inside the wiring harness. (Which may require considerable diagnostic time to find) or it could be an internally failed ABS module.
Recommendation:
If you are NOT experiencing ANY of the symptoms below, I would simply clear the code and move on.... It is an intermittent fault that you will most likely not find very easily. If you ARE experiencing ONE OR MORE of these symptoms, then the problem needs to be diagnosed by checking the ABS module's ability to communicate with a scanner while testing the PCI Bus circuits.
Other possible symptoms of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1625
• Speedometer malfunctioning
• Traction Control malfunctioning
• Antilock Brake System malfunctioning or ABS light on
• Cruise Control malfunctioning

What does "Stability Control Failure" on a Saab 9.3 mean?
The stability control system uses the abs wheel speed sensors to detect when a wheel is losing traction and would presumably apply the brake on that wheel to maintain traction.
The system is the Vauxhall (GM's British operation) version of a traction control system further refined by Saab's engineers.
Stability control failure means the system will no longer be available to assist the driver maintain traction.
