Firing order Rolls-Royce Silver spur
Hi, The Silver Spur engine you have fitted should be of a V-8 configuration, Four cylinders on one side and four on the other. Rolls Royce calls these banks of cylinders; A bank and B bank respectively. So which one is which? well A bank is one inch further forward than B bank due to the way the connecting rods join the crankshaft.
Each Bank of cylinders are numbered 1 to 4, so A bank is A1, A2, A3 and A4 and B Bank is B1, B2, B3 and B4. Cylinder A1 (the one at the front of the engine), is the first to fire, so time the engine to the firing point of this cylinder to time your ignition. After that the Cylinders will fire in this order:-
A1, B1, A4, B4, B2, A3, B3, A2.
Hope this helps, Rgs. Bob
