Ask where is asd fuse located on 90 jeep cherkoee
old post and is key question on old jeeps
no engine stated. guess 4L
the ASD began 1990 to present.
the ANSWER IS BELOW.
the car did not have and ASD until your car was 100% Chrysler EFI. The goofy French EFI has none .
ASD and the 3 second rules and 6 to 8 failure classes to trip it.
none. some jeeps changed in 1993,
- 1986 - Renix TBI available on Jeep 2.5 L four-cylinder engines.
- 1987 - the new Renix controlled 4.0 L six-cylinder engine was rated at 173 hp (129 kW; 175 PS) and 220 lb·ft (298 N·m) of torque.
- 1988 - 4.0 L output increased to 177 hp (132 kW; 179 PS) and 224 lb·ft (304 N·m) of torque, due to higher compression ratio. Renix still TBI
- 1989 - Changed to Renix MPFI. (4 injectors now)
- 1991 - Chrysler Corporation (then the owners of the Jeep brand replaced the Renix control system with OBD-I-compliant control electronics, the Chrysler HO EFI) with check engine light.(and flash codes)

Cherokee revs up wont start
Your description is too vague to give specific advise. However, if you are stating that the engine turns over when you turn the key but it wont run, then you want to check a few possibilities. Fuel, Spark, compression. Make sure the engine is getting fuel. Then check for spark at one of the plug wires. Then check cylinder compression. No fuel can be a fuel pump, plugged filter, or pump electrical connection, like pump relay or wires. Spark problem can be ignition coil, coil pack, distributor module, distributor points. Compression can be piston rings, valves, head gasket. This is not everything, but it may help you!

1996 zj . i replaced the entire front end, less the gesrbox. also replaced tires . the right side bearing hub keeps going bad. i replaced it 7 times in 2 years , all parts are moog. what can it be ?
old post but a great question.
over sized tires and and wheels?
1: incorrect assembly, (installation) tops list , did you read every step in the FSM? skip Step 3? that 175 foot /lbs rule?
bingo , huh?
2: gross alignment issues, but the tires tread will tell you, hey buddy
it's bad.
3: use Timken brand, (moog is great too)
my wild guess, is you never read the chapter 2, page, 10?
the hub bearing is preloaded. (crush bearings here)
suspension opt chapter. 2.
RTM
read the FSM
do not set the bearings in this hub like some utility or boat tailer hub.
its totally different technology, this bearing.
my guess is yours are loose. ; and the beat them selves to death.
Timken runs tests on this and shows them doing that in under 1000 miles. (done wrong, too tight or too loose , out of spec range)
these are crush bearings, that crush and the clearance goes to perfect like magic, and by DESIGN.

I need to b y pass fuse block in fuse box to fix
To by-pass the fuse to fix a problem will be a foolish move as the fuses are there to protect the circuit in the event of a dead short. If one wire burns in a harness it normally burns out all the rest so the problem gets out of control. It would be far better to fix the problem in the fuse box first.
