1994 honda civic central locking problem
I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything

My 94 civic will crank but not start there are so
first see if you can hear the fuel pump in the tank, then if you can then check for spark at any spark plug also note if cranks slow like low battery voltage as this can and will cause a feed back of voltage to the distributor control module and short it out, if no spark replace the distributor
My honda civic starts but
my advice is to check your Ignition switch. that should be the culprit.Ask for an Electrician to do his checks.
1994 honda civic looses coolant and overheats. new
Yes, the head gasket can be failing or has already failed and will need to be replaced. Overheating will just compound the issue potentially warping the head.
You can pull the spark plugs and inspect for a slight greenish tint on the insulator. Typically this will indicate if you're getting any coolant bypass directly into the cylinder. Often, this may only occur at operating temps once the engine components expand.
Coolant loss has to be explainable: Either a direct exterior leak, which should be visible and/or include an obvious smell.
Leaking into crankcase and visible on dipstick.
Burning in cylinders and should be evident by increased steam from exhaust.
If you check all of these, you will find your leak. Start preparing for head gasket repair. Don't waste your time with coolant sealants as they will eventually fail and cause a very expensive repair at best or completely trash your engine at worst.
Backing light won't turn off
There is a switch on the gearshift that is made when you shift it in reverse. The switch is likely bad and stuck.
