What does it mean when

Hello, That message means there isn't sufficent oil lubricating the moving parts of the engine. This could be caused by little or no oil in the oil pan. Using the dip stick(yellow handle under the hood front passenger side) pull the dip stick out wipe off with rag, re-insert it and check on lower end and see where level is. It could also be a failed oil pressure sensor. It could also be caused by oil pump failure. If you have run the engine a lot it may have severe internal damage. Thank you.

Intermittent "low oil pressure" readings

First have you checked your oil level? If you have the proper oil level then most likely your oil pressure should be good. Do you have any leaks? How many miles are on the vehicle? It could very well be the low oil pressure switch failing. located on the oil filter adapter. These are known to fail, only cost about 10$ and about 30 minutes to change. If you have any doubts that your oil pressure isn't good have it checked by a qualified mechanic.
Thank you,
Lee

The car keeps overheating and the coolant is

How fast do yo mean? It could be the overflow cap not holding pressure and letting the coolant release at the cap. Have the cap pressure tested. This is something a lot of shops overlook. If it's not here then the coolant must be going into your engine. Check your oil to see if the color is different than usual. If it is, have it checked out because you have major engine problems.

How do i pull the pulley that drives the water

You need to pull the tensioner in the opposite direction of the belt side to loosen the belt enough to remove. You should diagram out the way the belt is routed first also. The tensioner is the part that looks like it isn't really attached to anything purposeful and is spring-loaded.It may be a little difficult to move, but you should be able to move it enough to get the belt started off.Good luck!

Misfireing

Misfire. This problem is related to many possibilities. If there is check engine light on then get the car scanned at diagnosis center. Get car scanned at diagnosis center to get error codes, at diagnosis center you will receive the error code. As per the error code it will detect the exact faulty part in the car due to which the problem is occurring. For more help: --- at www.autozone.com it’s absolutely free to get car scanned.
------------ But if there is no check engine light on then you have to trouble shoot the problem by checking the parts related to misfire.
1)The misfire counter function can help you determine which cylinder is behaving badly.you can identify which cylinder is causing a dead misfire. Carefully disconnect one spark plug at a time. If the cylinder you are disconnecting is operating properly you will hear a change in RPM. If the cylinder you disabled is the bad cylinder you will see no change in engine behavior.
2) Check your ignition system. There are several steps to this.
A)Remove spark plugs and check to see if the electrodes look worn down or contaminated. Check your spark plug gap with a plug gapper to see if the electrode has worn down.B)Use a multimeter to check your spark plug wire resistance. They should read roughly between 2,000 - 12,000 Ohms. What you are really looking for is an open circuit in one of the wires. Bend the wires around and see if you lose continuity.C)Check cap and Rotor. Look for carbon tracking or extremely worn down rotor.
3) If you know your ignition system is operating properly you may want to check compression. You may already have the spark plugs out from your ignition check so it only takes a minute to check engine compression.
4) Get the fuel pressure checked. If its less then its quite possible that fuel pump needs to be replaced and fuel filter is got clogged.
5) Vacuum leaks - A vacuum leak will cause a misfire. If the leak is near a certain cylinder that cylinder will misfire. You can try to find a leak by spraying down the engine carefully with carb cleaner. If you spray the location of the leak the RPMs will rise. You can also inject the intake manifold with smoke from a smoke machine and look to see if it leaks out anywhere it is not supposed to.
6) Another possibility is problem is sensors. The MAF sensor,The EGR valve, the O2 sensors. The TPS sensor. All has to be checked.
TPS- means throttel position sensor.O2 means oxygen sensors,MAF means Mass Air Flow Sensor,The EGR means Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve/Sensor.This has to be checked to confirm what is causing the problem of misfiring. But if there is check engine light on then get car checked as this will directly detect the error AS per the code you can replace the proper faulty part.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Not charging proper when runnin hot

If by that you are trying to say that the alternator isn't charging the battery when the engine is hot then the alternator brushes are worn out. If you search in car shops you could find a replacement set of brushes, but installing them is tricky; just replace the entire alternator , it will be faster and cheaper in the end.

1997 Eldorado carborator installation

Actually it should be very simple... There are 4 Nuts on the carburater which you can loosen. There are some linkages from Carb to the gas pedal, Choke...They need to be remove.. but do it as to remember how to put it back when installing a new one.
Now make sure they give you a new fiber/asbestos gasket. This is important.. If it leaks... you will not get good gas milage
once the carb is on.. tighten all 4 nuts, do not overtight them, but tighten them
