Stater will not start
Dont tap starters. They use to have windings on the case inside the starter. They have been replaced with ceramic magnets which will crack if struck with a hammer. Have the system tested before you tap anything as you could have a battery or connection issue. Dont add a starter to the mix
Starter will not start
If it needs tapping it needs replacing or refurbishing. The body of the starter is steel and the solenoid is steel both areas are good. BUT the solenoid has plastic ends where the wiring is attached, DO NOT HIT THAT! If there is no noise from the starter at all, it sounds like the solenoid is sticking. Tapping is only a quick fix, it will get to the stage where that won't work
Low idles
Don't quess do the testing and proper diagnostics.
Left rear toe adjuster seized
Sometimes you can spray these with penetrating oil and beat them with a hammer to free them. I have had to use a sawzall to cut the bolt between both side of the control arm and the mounts on the body so I could remove it from the car and press it out on the bench.
