It shouldn't. This should be diagnosed by someone skilled in this, most likely an Acura dealer technician.
Hi,
I have a 2006 Acura
The IAC will not cause a high idle condition. When it fails all it will do is cause a stall on poor low idle. Generally a high ide is cause by a vacuum leak or a defective sensor. The only way to diagnose this is with a data scanner, a test meter. and manufaturer procedures for the condition at hand. When all the usual possibilities have been eliminated then we have to look at the computer as maybe being the problem or if there is maybe a reprogram tecnical service bullitin but out by the manufacturer. What you paid for the IAC would of paid for the diag so like so many others your finding yourself deeper in debt. The only option at this point is to put it in the shop if you can't find a vacuum leak anywheres.
When moving in gear car makes a sharp grinding noise
This means that you need to replace your front brake pads. There are two metal bars on the brake pads that rub against the rotor when they get worn down to a certain point, causeing that "nails on a chalkboard" sound whenever the car moves. It's just a safety indicator that most car manufacturers use, as the horrid sound is hard to ignore, and people would rather get it fixed right away than endure it any longer. Hope this is what you were after.
