Stereo will no longer work

Check ICMs for the radio, as failure is common. Also do a hard reset fist, and disconnect battery power for at least 15-20 minutes.

The tailgate on my 2003 Volvo XC90 wont close

Once you take the whole tailgate apart, you may find the current latch mechanism is only jammed, and with some lubrication and/or bending or adjustment, it may still work. However, it may need replacement to fix the problem. God bless your efforts.

Hi everybody! So I have a 2004 Volvo XC90 SUV and I was told that the heater core needs replacement. I can't afford the dealer prices and was wondering if this can be a DIY project?

Most current cars require removal of the dashboard to get to the HVAC box, which must be removed and opened to get to the heater core. My suggestion would be to get a repair manual (Haynes, Chilton) for your car from an auto parts store. That should give you step-by-step instructions on how to do this BIG job (that's why Volvo wants $1000 to do it). You can also search YouTube to see if there are any relevant videos, but I haven't seen too much on Volvos on YouTube.
