Cant seem to get air out of brake system
Check to make sure there are no air leaks. Air leaks are common at brake line junctions. You could also have air trapped in the system. In this case I like to use a reverse brake bleeder, I got mine at lowes for $100, this tool forces fluid through the caliper into the lines and forces air to the master cylinder which escapes through the master cylinder bleeder. :)

Park lights, tail lights and dash lights wont work
I would first pull the headlight switch out and look for a burnt connector to it. If the connector is burnt buy a repair connector for it and replace the switch as well. Solder the new connector in one wire at a time and shrink tube the solder joints, never use crimp connectors.

While driving starter engauges
First check motor mounts...be sure no movement when turning steering wheel...the starter has a bendix that is spring loaded to engage, and dis-engage...this could be worn out and require a new starter...older cars sometimes used shims to set the necessary gap between the starter and flywheel...Hope this helps.
