How to replace the headlight assembly on 2004 BMW 325i

Four 8mm screws respectively hold in the head lamp. Two located right on top of the head lamp and two more below. Using a magnetic 8mm socket with an extension helps. Then the lower trim below the head lamp has to be pulled out, those are held in by a plastic tang on a plastic hook. Wiggle and see if you can remove it, if not then I'm afraid you'll have to drop your bumper, or at least one side of it in order to pull it out.I would tape up the face/lenses of the head lamp before moving it around. Last thing you want are scratches on it.

Outside mirrors won't move

Can you hear anything coming from the mirror? Is only one working? If so, its possible that your mirror motor has died on you. If you're not hearing anything from both sides, I would check the fuse and voltage going to the fuse. If that's good then you could either check wiring from mirror motors to the module. I believe the controller is the general module located under the front passenger kick panel. Or you could also swap out the switch block for the mirror assembly as you could return that. Replacing the programming the GM will burn it to your vehicle.

P0313

I'm guessing you have 5.5 bars or around 70 psi of fuel pressure? In that case, have you checked your DISA valve? Mounted to the driver side of the intake manifold right above the throttle and throttle elbow. A huge vacuum leak could also cause a crank and stall situation.

I have a 2003 BMW 325ci. The low coolant light

Tough to say without a fault code read out. There was a nice service information bulletin about your instrument lighting up like a christmas tree that lead to an engine harness. Your thermostat could also do that. As long as your check engine light NOT on and your coolant level is good, then you should be ok to drive on it. While a jammed thermostat will sometimes not set a fault, it could over heat your engine. With the vehicle COLD, try opening the expansion tank then starting the vehicle, if you see a small jet of coolant then your water pump is good.

Replace battery in key

If you have the diamond shape key, the battery is not replacable. If you have the square shaped key, the battery is replacable, but that is obvious because of the screws on the back of the remote.if you have the diamond shape key, it is recharged when its inserted into the ignition. If the key hasn't failed, taking a long trip 60 min. or longer should recharge the battery. If there is no change in the operation of the key after your long trip, most likely the key has failed and needs replacement.

Thermostate needs replaced

Follow the Upper Hose to the Thermostat Housing and I would recommend that you replace it with a "FAILSAFE" Thermostat. They in my opinion are the BEST!!!

I just bought a 1986 BMW 325 that starts fine when

Coolant temperture sensor. Look at the front of the cylinder head. There will be a square 3 pin connector. This should be the one you need to replace. What happens is that it is stuck telling the computer that the coolant is cold thus providing more fuel to start. Once the system is warm this excess fuel is not needed and can create the black (raw fuel) smoke that is coming from the tail pipe once warm. This is a very simple repair. Let me know if you need anything else.
