Put a new battery won't turn over can't get no

Check main engine fuses in fuse box, also check to make sure you have the right battery and that the terminals are not corroded badly and that they are tight. Some of those escorts need a reverse terminal battery. The positive and negative are on opposite sides than normal. If the wrong battery was installed, there could be some major damage. If all that is good, check the ignition module.

Check engine light

Your check engine light is on because the computer has detected a problem with the vehicle. Take it to Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts to get your computer scanned. They will do it for free and they will let you know what the code is and what might be needed to fix it.

Does the heater hose have any valves that need to

There is no actaul valve in the heater hoses that shuts off the hot coolant flow, this is done by moving a door to block the heater core air flow, it is called the blend door.

I have a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2. It only blows cold

Low coolant will cause this issue as well. You can check the heater core by letting the engine warm up and then feel the hoses going into the heater core to see if they are hot. If they are both hot, then you have circulation to the core. Another cause, besides low coolant, could be the trap door that shunts air from the core to the vents could be stuck. If you do have to replace the core, you have to remove the dash from the car to do so.

Sounds like the front right wheeling bearing is

Wish I had a diagram for you but not good at the picture thing. Your wheel bearings aren't like the old ones where you just dropped them out, packed them with grease and reinstall. Your bearings are pressed into the knuckle and need to be done at a machine shop or somebody who has a press. You have to remove the whole knuckle which can be quite a job if you have never done it as you basically take that whole side apart to remove it. Just taking the nut off the CV axle is a job in itself. It wasn't much but I hope it helped and good lick.

I'm trying to replace the serpentine belt on a

It may be like this:

"I just installed a belt on a 1998 ZX2 and used the tension release tool from underneath the car (safely jacked up and blocked) You should remove the right front wheel and plastic splash shield from wheel well (10mm socket). Use the tensioner release tool from underneath and rotate it towards the rear of the engine until you meet the lower heater hose. At this point, have another person use a tire iron / long screw driver, etc. to jam the tensioner pulley in place in order to get another "bite" on the tensioner pulley center bolt (use 13MM socket on the tool) You should have the entire belt pre-routed except for the AC pulley. This is the easiest one to install the belt on once tension has been released. Check for any looseness on the other idler pulleys as well as component pulleys."

Good luck! (rate if useful!!)

Went to start all lights were fine wouldnt start.

This sounds like a bad battery, take the car to your local auto parts store. Have them check the battery. If there is some other problem they can trouble shoot the charging / starting system also.
