it is in the engine compartment on the passenger side near the windshield. it is easy to replace, but it will need to be programmed to match your car if you are replacing it. it will not run until it is programmed. you will need a 10mm socket

hi, if when you turn the key nothing happens or you just hear a faint clicking sound then this indicates that the starter motor needs replacing.

If you open the bonnet and get someone to turn the key to start the car you might hear a clicking sound coming from the starter motor if you hear this then this indicates the starter motor needs replacing, if on the other hand you hear nothing at all then you need to check all the wires going to the starter.
Also check the earth wires coming from the battery check they are all connected where they earth out on the body of the car and where it connects to the engine.

You could also try giving the starter motor a few hard hits with a hammer this usually gets it working for a few times.
Also if you car is manual gear box then put it in say 2nd gear then get someone to push the car slightly so that you are turning the engine that way then try starting using the key this also sometimes get the starter working be be warned this isnt permanent fix so get the starter changed sooner rather than later ok

Fuse #19 (15 amp) controls the cruise control. It also powers the horn so check your horn. If it works then check the cruise controls ground. If the fuse is good BUT the horn still doesn't work, then check the horn relay, as it also powers the cruise control. Check all wires/connections going to these parts also.

There is no relay for the headlamps on your Taurus . The lamps have constant B+ voltage , the fuses supply B+ right to the headlamps . The Voltage then travels to the dimmer an flash to pass switch on the steering column , then to the headlamp switch . When you turn on the headlamps the B+ voltage then goes to ground through the headlamp switch ! Pull the headlamp switch an test for B+ voltage on the red with yellow stripe wire . If you do your switch is bad . Go to www.bbbind.com/ for free wiring diagrams , then go to youtube an check out videos on headlamp not working trouble shooting ! From practical experience I'd say there is a problem with the headlamp switch , but don't guess test !

Check for 2 bolts at the bottom front, if none use a pry bar slip under bottom front and pry up it will pop out of clips then remove Hope this helps Mike

The first thing you probably should do is get a copy of the shop manual for your year and model. The manual would have the actual test procedures for the code. You probably know code 1336 means the signal from the cam and crank sensors is not aligned, meaning the cam timing is off as far as the engine computer can see. It could have been one of the sensors, but you normally get another code for that sensor too. It could also be a timing chain problem, or a wiring problem going back to the computer.

If shift cable is the problem, can you replace it? My biggest problem is I can't see anything from here. Maybe you can remove the part that is concern and show it to the people at your local auto store or the service department of your local dealership, maybe they can order new part? Another thought is to find your year--make--model at local salvage year, see if they have the same part in decent shape. Like I said, I can't see anything from here.

Sounds like a fuel filter or the fuel pump inside the tank. Try the fuel filter first as it is the easiest. It is under the driver door area. The fuel pump is located by removing the fuel tank. O
