Where is the pcv valve

Ford Fusion 2.3L 4 cyl. engine uses 5 W 20 engine oil. This engine has a serviceable filter for the VCT solenoid. The filter is accessed from under the valve cover.

At the intake cam thrust cap is a plug with an allen socket head. Remove the plug and the filter is under it. The base part number on the filter is 6C683. There is no specified mileage for replacement.

These engines also use electrically heated PCV valves. The heater in the valve is to prevent icing in the PCV and on the back of the throttle plate. The PCV heater circuits are monitored by the Engine Control Module (ECM) and will set an Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminating code if there is a circuit -related fault present.

My 2006 Ford fusion does not release the key from the ignition when it's in park???

You have a problem with THE SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM ! The floor shifter assembly:

  • requires the transaxle range selector lever to be in the PARK position to turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
PINPOINT TEST A: THE SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM DOES NOT RELEASE/LOCK CORRECTLY A1 TEST THE BRAKE LIGHTS
  • Apply the brake pedal and view the brake lights.
  • Do the brake lights illuminate?

  • Disconnect: Floor Shifter Harness Connector C3245.
  • Key in ON position.
  • Measure the voltage between floor shifter harness connector C3245-1, vehicle harness side and ground, while applying the brake pedal. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

How can I reprogram bcm on 2006 ford fusion

You need a factory scan tool , it only costs about $3,000 ! Does the back lighting work every where else , Instrument cluster , switch on steering wheel, door switch's etc.. If so you have another problem , because all the back lighting is controlled by the SJB - smart junction box , that's what ford calls there body control module !

My 2006 ford fusion shakes or misfires around the speeds of 20 40 and 60 mph. I got all 6 coils changed the fuel injected cleaned and transmission oil changed. My engine light come on when it shakes

I'm sorry to hear that. Did he tell you what codes were in it? Do you live near a autozone or somewhere they can check the codes for free. Or maybe you can call the person up and ask what codes are in the car. But it sounds like you are having a miss fire problem. If the check engine light is flashing it is not a good idea to drive it. Try to get the codes and post them please. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edward_020b3320326d263d

2006 Ford Fusion 2.3L I4

The check engine light won't go out unless you (1) clear the code with a tester or (2) give the computer a chance to determine the problem is no longer there. It has to go thru several test cycles detecting no problem before the computer will turn the light off. You could also have another problem causing an evaporative emission leak (like a vent hose for instance).

My 2006 ford fusion was working fine till i came to a stop it started shaking a red light wrench came on lasted bout ten min when i got home turned car off.my husband got in and started the car it was

Could be a lot of things ... could be something as simple as a piece of dirt or leaf in front of the mass air flow sensor. This will give the computer false readings causing it to adjust the fuel mixture causing the car to run rough.

I have a 2006 ford fusion was running ok till i stoped at a light it started shaking and red wrench tool light came on

take it to your local auto parts store they will check the error messages from the computer for free and might be able to help you find the part you need... If not bring it to a repair shop.. Could have a bad spark plug or bad injector etc to many things to list.

2006 Ford Fusion se v6 ABS in- sensor light is constantly on why?

Hey.look under the car and see if the plug came off or a wire is broken. If all is ok with that you may have a ABS sensor that is stuck. You can remove it and clean it off and put a very little grease on it and it should free it up.
