Should there be any play in the frame mount bushings on the lower control arm or the rack and pinion frame mount bushing?

The control arm will move some, the bushings are rubber. Made to do that so the ride isn't like being in a tank. The rack only has one bushing, on the passenger side. If your talking about the bar behind the rack. It is called a sway bay. It has two frame bushings. If the sway bar is moving up and down 1/2 inch, the bushing are bad. There should be some movement, but 1/2 inch is excessive. Again they are rubber. Any thing rubber is going to have movement. But should be sloppy.

Locate the fuel pump relay

Look in the glove box for a panal that pops out their should be 3 or 4 relays behind it and the cover will say relay center or something similar to that . But to be honest with its likely the fuel pump it self . The normal life of the pump for Chevys is about 10 years.. They also back up the relay through the oil pressure sending unit so if the relay went say on the highway the pump would still get power through a connection from the pressure unit . The pump is inside the tank it has to come down to replace the pump. Good Luck with it

Looking for front suspension torque specs for tie rod. Or is a stabilizer shaft link the same thing as a tie rod

The tie rod connects the two front steering pieces together so that both tires point in the same direction at the same time. The stabilizer shaft link is part of the suspension that helps keep the vehicle lever when you're going around corners. Check with your local GM dealer or auto parts supply for torque specs.

First of all, it's a cassette...who cares!?! Secondly, you would have to disassemble the radio, maybe causing damage to other parts of the radio. There is a place in L.A. That can exchange your radio for a rebuilt factory and they will return your cassette...AER Technoligies. Look them up.

Fix code p0461

The fuel level sensor consists of a float, a wire float arm, and a ceramic resistor cord. The position of the float arm indicates the fuel level. The fuel level sensor contains a variable resistor, which changes resistance in correspondence to the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. The Engine Control Module (ECM) sends the fuel level information via the class 2 circuit to the instrument panel (I/P) cluster. This information is used for the I/P fuel gage and the low fuel warning indicator, if applicable. The ECM also monitors the fuel level input for various diagnostics. What you will need to tackle this is a Chilton's manual so you will have the correct schematic on your vehicle and a multi meter so you can find out if its the fuel level sensor that is faulty or maybe it in your wire harness. I can explain to you what to do but if you never have preformed it before your only going to be more in the dark then now so if you are going to attempt this on your own go on you tube put your fault code P0461 and there is a video on what to check to make sure what is at fault, I caution you please check all the wiring and your plug connector first don't run out and buy a new fuel level sensor thinking it going to fix your problem that would be a 250 dollar mistake it may be in a faulty wire or signal wire I have found on most of the ones I worked on road salt played a big part on corroding the wires out and it was a simple fix. good luck God Bless Read more: http://engine-codes.com/p0461_chevrolet.html#ixzz3RTsw1cD1

Oil pressure gauge drops to zero and comes back up to 80

Hello, this problem is due to a failing stepper motor. The stepper motor is the motor behind the gauge that controls the movement of the needle. When a stepper motor begins to go out it will cause the gauge needle to stick, skip around, stay at zero or max out on the gauge. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the stepper motor with a new one. While replacing one motor it is best to go ahead and replace them all as the others will go out in time as well. Youre cluster will have one motor for each gauge. Here's a link to a page showing exactly how to replace a GM stepper motor and where to get the correct parts to do the job! I have a 2006 chevy silverado i have changed master cylinder and booster and rear brake shoes but pedal stills goes to the floor tried bleeding brakes but get no fluid to the front brakes only the the

you can buy or make a steel cover with a rubber gasket that will replace the top on the master cylinder. It also as a pressure hose attachment so that you can place a small amount of pressure on the top of the oil thus by pushing on the oil in the master you force the oil through the brake lines and purge the system of any air-- I think Snap on also sells this special tool.
