I have a 2006 chevy silverado 5.3L..When in idle

It could be the sending unit. If the truck is low on oil it will cause something similar. Be sure the oil level is topped up. The only way to be sure it so measure the actual oil pressure at the engine with a proper gauge..

Gonna need to remove the panels and see where you left some wiring disconnected or pinched.

97 mustang gt running threw rear brake pads

how many miles are u getting on a set of brake pads before they wear out? Have u flushed out the lines? Contaminated brake fluid can ruin the calipers, causing internal corrosion which in turn causes the caliper to drag and burn out the pads prematurely. The strange thing w/ this theory, is the fact that it's just one wheel. I would try bleeding all the lines though, to make sure u have bled all old fluid, and replaced it w/ new. Has the mustang ever been in an accident? Just wondering if caliper mounting bracket is tweeked, or some other component that the brake system is mounted to. Let me know if this is any help, and if not, if u have any more clues that might help figure this out. Good Luck

06 Silverado tailgate stuck closed

You should be able to get in between the fender and tailgate with a long screwdriver or piece of flat metal and push the catch back into the tailgate. Then pull the handle to release the other side and the gate should open. Hope this helps.

What is the factory specified max. compression, new motor, GM 4.3 ltr, V6

Interpreting the Results of the Engine Compression Test. The idea behind the Engine Compression Test (in the case of a Misfire Condition or Rough Idle Condition) is to find out if any one engine cylinder is not contributing 100% of its power to the overall engine output. If only one cylinder has lower than normal compression, your GM 4.3L (or 5.0L, 5.7L) equipped vehicle will run rough or cause a Misfire Code to set and turn on the Check Engine Light. So then, to wrap things up, the individual cylinder compression readings of each engine cylinder can not vary more than 15%... and this is how you can find out:
  1. 1Grab a calculator and multiply the highest compression reading that you recorded by .15. So, let's say that cylinder #4 gave you the highest reading of 170 PSI. Well 170 X .15 gives you 26 (25.5 rounded off).
  2. 2Now, the next step is to subtract 26 from 170... which gives us 144 PSI.
  3. 3So then, 144 PSI is the lowest possible compression reading that any one of the rest of the engine cylinders can have. Any compression reading below this.. and that engine cylinder will misfire..

Air conditioner drain box

Hate to say it,but usually this requires removal and replacement of the entire a/c heater box for new gasket (and any extra sealer needed.) It is quite a job. Also, have had extended cab pickups with leaky door seals at top keep the carpet underlay soaking wet.
