I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima and about a month ago my brake and battery light went on. Needless to say, the next day my battery died which was due anyway. So I bought a brand new battery (DIE-HARD) and when I left the lights went on again. I mentioned it to the very young new mechanic and his response was that this was common, take it on the freeway for a while and it should clear up. Absurd but it worked. That was a month ago and for the past few days the lights go on intermittently. Can anyone help? BTW, the brakes were replaced 4 months and just got an oil and filter change this past weekend. I really appreciate any advice.
I thought this was free support. Apparently I was wrong. How did I fix it? Easy, I broke down on the freeway and got towed home on a flatbed! That was easy!!

I HAVE A 2000 NISSAN NISSAN MAXIMA WITH ONLY 50 THOUSAND MILES ON IT.THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON.THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING BUT IT IS NOT THE TRANSMISSION.I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED THE CYLINOIDS AND THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM.WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF,AND START IT UP AGAIN,SOMETHING RESETS,AND THE CAR SHIFTS FINE.

if my car is does not have the take off speed of first gear but instead tries to build speed for second gear could this be because the tranny srainer needs to be cleaned or could it just be the shift solenoid B really malfunctioning and causing the car to strain its take off. I'm really trying to avoid getting another tranny. By the way i did get the error code P0755
Request givin for 2000 Nissan Maxima 3.0
go with the new solenoid, in order to change it the trans pan has to come off so install a new filter at that time.

left rear blinker going at double speed
I just had that problem with my jeep cherokee and either your bulb has burned out or it is burning out. Time to replace it. Turn the signal light lever on the side that's flashing fast, get out of the vehicle and look at the front and back signal lights and replace the one that isn't blinking...hope this helps.

Speed sensor location on a Nissan Maxima 2000 gxe
There are two speed sensors one is called a revolution sensor that is located on the case of the transmission. You can take the driver side wheel off and see the sensor on the top of the case of the transmission. A 10mm bolt is holding it in. Easy fix
