Will 1988 astro van parts fit on 1992 astro van

Yes, most of the parts will fit but may not be exact depending on the part/and RPO code. For example, you could have a different gear ratio in the rear end, this would physically fit, but might not work for your purpose.

I'm trying to remove the instrument cluster on 88 astro

If this is one of the models that does have a speedo cable, then you have to find a way to get your hand behind it to press in the tab lock that holds the speedo cable to the back of the guage. Without doing that, you will break something.

Emergency brake wont release on 1997 chevy astro

You will have to manually release it. First make sure that your handle is still attached to the rod since these do sometimes have a tendency to brake, if it is broke, you just have to pull the rod by hand. If it's still intact, you will have to follow the rod to where it connects to the cables and once again, manually pull it by hand. You might have to actually follow it all the way to the back axle from underneath where the connections are made to apply pressure to set and release and make sure there isn't anything broke there. Worst case is that when you last set your e-brake, it broke inside the drums and you will have to rebuild. Hope this helps some. Good luck!

When driving on freeway or accelerating engine

Dear sir
sounds likea fuel delivery problem,
try your filters first as they are the chepest and eseyest to change then see how you go use ilimanation! if not then start looking into CO settings in the air meter.e.t.c.

Allways try the obvius simple and cheapest solutions first! theynearly allways pay off.

P.S. the CO settings only apply to the petrol version NOT DIESEL
If it is a Diesel engine vesion, old filters will almost certanly be the cause with out doubt!
Have a great day Bruce

1988 4.3 astro van only runs with timing 16

This could mean your timing chain if off a tooth. Do a compression test. Lowest cylinder should have at least 75% compression of highest cylinder. If off check timing. Thanks

I have a 1988 astro van v-6 hard to keep statred

Is the air filter clean, believe it or not a clogged air filter can cause unburnt fuel. If it isn't the filter is the check engine light on? If so have the codes read, it may be a bad O2 sensor. It also might be an injector going bad.
