I fixed used injection pump to engine and is not
1) There could be an air lock to the fuel system, try to bleed the system.
2) If the fuel is reaching the injector pump & not supplying to the injectors nozzles thn the pump needs attention.
Hope this helps!

Truck at times seems to vapor lock
After all that the only thing I can think of is Mass Airflow Sensor. Should go get a codes reading, see if that helps, they're free at some autopart shops.

Cuts out at 2500 rpms and dies on idle
2 possible reasons
1--- failed cat converter blocking the exhaust
2---EVAP system not venting the fuel tank properly
run the fault codes and have an exhaust shop check the at converter

Nissan engine specs
many EFI fuel injected engines of today vintage only get 10 litres to 100 km so 11 is not too bad
lower the float level a touch, check and adjust the fuel pressure to a minimum open up the air intake before the air filter, tire sizing ( narrower tire widths reduce rolling resistance ) tire pressures are critical,, reducing load being carried
if it has a cat converter make sure that it is functional and not blocking the exhaust
check for vacuum leaks , check ignition timing
ensure that the brake callipers are free to move on the mounting pins ( stuck pins leave a pad dragging on the rotor
wheel alignment to reduce tire drag on the road
