Srs light on my mercedes
It is on because there is a problem with the SRS. Take it to a dealer for repair, immediately. Do not attempt to repair yourself. Serious injury can occur if not done correctly.
On a Mercedes CLK 200
Your main control in drivers door is worn out run a hot wire from battery to left window in main control this might close the window this happen to me on a 89 mustang
Hi, I have a 02
It would seem the shifter interlock gate........that stops you shifting into P or R on the move......or from P when starting..... has failed. The gate/latch is electrically operated and should click when the brake is depressed with ignition on.
If the shifter will not allow you to engage P, the key should not be free to remove from the ignition switch. Ignition Key removal is only allowed after shifter is in PARK.
Most of these symptoms arise due to sugary drinks being spilt down the shifter consul and cause the system to malfunction.
Deionised water will not harm anything or leave a film behind. The aerosol can of Electronic Contact Cleaner will also help. Obviously you should not just pour a bottle of water into the shifter....just a trickle, while moving the shifter with the key on ( Position II ) and brake pedal depressed.
I have been able to get a few working by pouring deionised water and contact cleaner into the mechanism whilst operation the shifter lever.
Apart from that you will have to consult a Mercedes specialist shop or dealership.
I would not encourage disconnecting the battery terminals as some vehicles have many air bags and ballistic BATT+ disconnect components....putting the terminal back on after a capacitor discharge operation may cause unwanted problems....if bounced on the battery post causing sparks and power surges.
These vehicles should, because of this, never be battery boosted unless the operator knows how to do it without loosing throttle learn and other adaptive features on board.
It matters not who you are here...we try to be as helpful as we can to everyone.
Need to replace "foggy" lenses
Hi,
Normally those can be restored with a clean up kit available at the parts store. It is only around $20 and can be done easily at home. Much cheaper than the $200-$400 you will spend on replacement headlight assemblies....Mike
